Hello everyone.
Started playing this game a couple of weeks ago and im alredy tired of all these W/Mo... they are everywhere. So i got interessted in building a warrior solo/tank that wasnt a W/Mo. After some looking around i decided on W/R, it seems fun to play. I havent designed a build yet, thought i would discus it on the forum first and hear some elite players opinions. Can u build a W/R solo tank?
There are some intressting skills for Tank/solo. And im not thinking of the damage skills, firstly the tank/life skills. Not saying that all these are good, just want to start a discusion and want your opinions.
*/R
Escape[Elite]
Lightning reflexes
Whirling Defense
Dryders Defense
Healing Spring
Melandrus Resiliance
Troll Unguent
Throw Dirt
W/*
Shields Upp
Watch Yourself
Bonettis Defense
Defensive Stance
Gladiators Defense
Healing Signet
Wary Stance
Dolyak Signet
Defy Pain
Endure Pain
And what weapon should the build use? Personaly i like sword best. There are tons of good attack related skills as well. Here are some Ranger ones i really like.
Tigers Fury
Apply Poison
What armor should the build use? Plate for high defense or Galdiators for
+Energy?
Where should i put my attribute points?
Would really be glad if u guys on the forum helped me with my build. And yes, like i said im new so i dont know everything about GW. So plz no posts about how stupid and noob i am.
Can u build a good Tank/Solo W/R

Well, I wouldnt consider myself "elite" heh, but my best Tank builds are pure warrior stance builds. Try playing with that.

just kidding man <--Set yourself up for it
Okay, here's what I use -
+45 HP -2 Recieved Stance and Hexed Carapice Shield (collector items)
Maj Vig Maj Absorb (im not applying sups until I finish Fissure armor)
Minor Tactics Rune
+5 "Of Defense" Pommel or Grip (I despise fortitude)
+17% or better enchanted - 20% is expensive and 17% serves the purpose (farming axe)
19% or better of axe mastery
Sup runes on one piece of swappable armor. I dont use sups on my regular armor.
I prefer axes over swords - Personal Preference I guess. I always have a +15 Stance, +15 Enchanted, +15^50 equiped. I also like - 5 energy + 15* al. A bow is good for solo ranging too.
I always use either 3/1 Vamp mod, 10/10 Furious, and some sort of elemental prefixed weapon. Again, this is just me and my opinion. I dont rely on energy most of the time and use mainly adrenaline skills. This is all PvE mind you.
Just keep in mind there are all sorts of builds for different things.

Axe > Sword for W/R. I'm a W/R myself, and cyclone axe and apply poison were just made for each other. Especially for solo-tanking, or farming... technically, if the enemy's got flesh and your stances can sustain you indefinitely, you've won the fight since you can just keep on cyclone axing+apply poisoning away while using stances such as Glads and Shield Stance. Dolyak's on the side is good too. Serpent's quickness if vital for use with tactics so you can have more of your favorite stances running forever, or as close to that as possible. Tiger's fury should be overlooked if you wanna tank, since its a stance, and stances don't stack.
The non-W/Mo tank revolves around exploiting tactics to the limits, with no healing spells there for you... though I find that Healing Signet + Bonetti's > Troll Unguent. No need to worry about interrupts or -40 al dmg with bonetti's on, and you can farm energy at the same time. Bonetti's ends when a skill is used, though it only comes into effect when Healing Signet is FINISHED operating and you get your free hp!
Oh, and btw... Glads > Platemail.
