sorry if this has been posted before.

But say I have a short bow I found
28 dmg
lengthens the poison duration on foe
12% damage in stance.

If I put a bow string on this bow, would it overwrite the lengthens the poison?

Yes it will. However, if the stats you have listed are complete, the bow does not have a bow grip on it. So, you could add another modifier to it.
