I have been away since last summer when a family problem forced me to quit playing.
I have several builds thru most of the game but I am unsure what and how for the areas that everyone is soooo fond of.
UW FOW and SF and the other newer areas...how do I get there?
I know this is a stupid question but I have to ask.
thank you for any information or maybe a web link that explains this

A good place to start might be the Guild Wars website. Read through the updates and you should get an idea of some of the changes. At least you might have some more specific questions afterwards. It would take pages to tell all the changes since last summer.

I am sorry for my poor question.
I am not sure how you get to these areas?
Are they new areas added that are only accessable
after the game is completed, or are the add ons that
anyone can go to IF they can get to the correct town?
I hope that I have made it clearer.

There are new areas. Grenth's Footprint which leads to Sorrows Furnace. There is an outpost in Grenth's called Deldrimor War Camp. Go north through Snake Dance and look for portal about 3/4 of the way up on your right.
You can access this without completing the game.
When you do complete the game you can get a quest (from Grenth?) in Droknar's Forge for a titan quest. When you complete that Grenth will give you three more titan quests.
These were updates that should automatically download when you load the game.
Hope this helps

As noted above, Sorrows Furnace is accessed most readily from War Camp, north-east of Rankor/south-west of Granite.
Underworld and Fissure of Woe accessed from Temple of Ages when your region has favor. Located north-west of Hot Springs. Must be ascended to enter.
Tombs is located off of Dragons Lair. Must be ascended.
UW and FOW have always been there, Sorrow's was added a few months ago, Tombs was altered into a PvE area a few weeks ago. All PvP only areas now centralized in the "Battle Isles", located near Guild Hall location south of LA, accessed by clicking on the ship icon.
Other than Sorrows and the recent changes to Tombs/Battle Isles, no new areas have been added during your absence.

Glint gives the quests, not Grenth

Just browse these forums. Once you catch up, you don't even have to play the game, you can pretty much read the forums everyday instead of the game and stay up to date.
