I decided to switch my Mesmer Axe Warrior to a Mesmer Sword Warrior, mainly cause I like to couple my Conjure Phantasm with Sever Artery+Gash.
My skills are being focuses into Domination, Illusion, Fast Casting, and occasionally I put a few points into Sword Mastery and Tactics to make the healing signet and sword skills a lil more useful. I use Rogue Armor, to be able to take some more of that damage while I'm up in the melee. All in all I'm aiming for that Illusionairy Warrior Build.
However the main part of the Illusionairy warrior is his Illuisonairy Weapon skill wich is an elite that I wont get for a long while. So my question is what should I use for PvE and for PvP before I get Illusion Weapon and how should I organize my skills and attributes until than?

Your attributes would be spread out far too wide trying to put them into five different places; that makes them very uneffective. I'd suggest putting nothing into sword mastery when you get IW, because with Illusionary Weaponry on all of your melee attacks physical damage will be 0. I've never felt that Fast Casting was worth putting points in. Especially not for casting Illusionary Weaponry or Conjure Phantasm.
You'll want to have at least 12 illusion for sure. I'm not very experienced with Tactics, so I'm not sure. For now I would be a full time mesmer and just do Domination/Inspiration.

I did the exact opposite of the above poster.
I personally hate the henchman warrior, so I decided to tank for Alesia myself. I wear the Rogue's Set and my skills are currently the following.
Sever Artery
Gash
Conjure Phantasm
Frenzy
Sprint
For Great Justice!
Healing Signet
Ressurection Signet
My attributes are currently 6 Swordsmanship, 6 Tactics, and 2 Illusion [with a +1 mask].
I have a cool-looking sword saved for when I get IW. I plan to drain all the points I poured into Swordsmanship and place them in Illusion. However, if I have any to spare, I'll place some in Swordsmanship.

Slade,
Thats sort of what I plan on doing, I plan on draining what I have in Swordsmanship and putting it into illusion of domination.
Currently my strategy goes like this.
Cast Empathy on Target, followed by Energy Burn. If attacked by severl enemies than cast Chaos Storm too. When adrenaline builds up use Sever Artery followed by Conjure Phantasm and gash.
The strategy works pretty well actuall for now but I'm wondering if theres something more that I can do.

So what's your plan for when some NPC kills your IW, when your swordsmanship score is minimal? Just sit around for the next half minute?
Expunge
Yeah, it's very common for NPC's to kill your enchantments right away. It's a huge pain in the ass :\
Helderin
Well I don't have a plan for someone killing my enchantments, any suggestions? So far I'm up to Nolani, and this strategy is working out pretty well.
Curlyfry
exactly where do i get illusionary weaponry? i have the same build lvl 18 and i love it, just cannot find IW...
taion
You can't really get Illusionary Weaponry before Ascension. The locations are listed in the elite skills index, though.
Scavenger
ok for you people who want to use IW in pve, i think thats a no no.
i have a warrior and i looked it up, at 12 illusion you only do 34 damage, in pve i hit for 50 ish with my warrior and he has a sword, id say keep the iw for pvp with the big warriors and thier armor.

IW for PvP is even worse. When a team sees you using it, you will be the first person to get Rend.
I can see IW being more useful in the later PvE missions against high armor mobs.

thats where ive heard people with backup plans and having another crappy enchantment so iw wont get removed but whatever im a warrior, i cut things lol

Other than Illusionairy Warrior, what other direction can I take a Me/W in, currently I'mjust playing a pure mesmer, and use Healing Signet from time to time, I really like this build a lot more, specially since I got the Courtly Armor Set.
