Really need some help with Nolani Mission
Knight Skies
I just spent 45 minute running all over following that brown path that you start on when you begin the Nolani mission and everywhere I go leads to a dead end. I found the guy with the book for the secondary mission but I can't figure out how to get down to ambush the Char. Any suggestions would be dgreatly appreciated!

I sent you an email with the map and all.. but ill post it here also to help people who may have same problem.
On the map below, point A is where you find the Tome and point B is where you gotta bring it.
The blue line show the way to go ambush the Charrs.

Make sure you kill all of the Charrs in front of the gate. If you don't the prince wont come out. Then just follow him to the end.

There are alternatives.
First time through for me I just went through the front gate. There is a lever you can operate to open the door and voila, the charr are right there. I did it not fully understanding what was going on but it was very simple.
Otherwise make your way around down the eastern path and keep going until you get to the small path that leads down and onto the opposite wall. At the furthest point of the wall ledge, you run down and onto the ground below and can attack the charr from behind.
Either way works.

Ok, so when you get the Tome, and are told to take it back, well, here's the thing. I did, explored almost half the damn map, found where I *thought* it should go, tried to put the book back and... Nothing. Not a bloody thing. Are you given the book? Or do you have to find it hidden somewhere? Because I spent about 2 hours with my henchmen group, searching everywhere, running back and forth, and not finding the Tome. Spoke to the soldier who originally gave me the bonus mission and nothing.

if you want to do this, wait for the charrs to patrol away; when there's much less red dots visible on your radar.

Thanks for all the help everyone! I really appreciate it.

Thanks for this info, it helped a lot.
I just want to point out, if you kill the boss in the center of the area before the gate any remaining charr (the ones off to the sides) storm the gate and kill Rurik. That makes the mission fail. On the second try I worked my way around and killed the boss group last. You can just squeeze by the boss group if you're careful and go slow. The rest of the mission is fairly easy, imo.
I only wish Rurik would give you a chance to get your energy back up before he rushes off to kill the next group of charr. And I have to go back to find the monument for the other quest, Cities of Ascalon I think it is. Any clues on the location of that, or is it not in the mission?

It's in the Diessa Lowlands, not too far from Nolani. When you go out you'll see a set of stairs. Up the stairs and through a archway, the monument is on your right against the archway wall. Lots of Gargoyles to play with!

Either way works. Beware, if you do it, be sure to be a high level, because if not you and your party will be owned...
