Swirling Aura got tone down, fair or not fair?

Not since the PvP extreme weekend, when it got a doubled duration buff, along with a shorter casting time. That one I've actually used recently, and it's working fine.

I thought Gaile was going to post the detail info about how GW adjust this spell.

However I don't see any spell update in the Feb-6th in-game update note, is she going to post the detail info ONLY on this thread? It's been 2 days already.

Then it would be a elementalist skill to defeat other elementalists, much like a couple of other skills in the elementalist lines. Even then, it would only be good for stuff without an aoe component, as things like barrage and ignite arrows seemingly hit through it regardless. The volume of projectile based aoe is kinda limited, but it would be interesting how it would be defined exactly, since anything "projectile" based can be dodged including the pulse based damage AOES that use the drop down from the sky mechanic. Also, some of the projectiles are rather bad, just try using some of them like ice spear on just the master of healing and look at how many actually connect.

Making a skill such as this that stop projectile spellls where you can merely side step most of the time is kinda pointless. Its not like eles get a read the wind or favorable winds equivilant. Sure there are times where you might not notice or just simply too much junk is flying at you, but at that point you would really need to back off and shed some hate anyway.

For everyone saying they don't know who would use it, I find it useful in my hydromancer running build for PvE, especially when there are loads of damn wanders.

I suspect Gaile Grey forgot to post up an update info for this specific spell. I read it from Taiwanese GW site that she's preparing to go Taiwan now.
Perhaps some of us should go to Lion Arch and reminds her to come back on this particular thread??

A certain skill that causes about the same blockage rate has a 2 sec recharge and can be used on others......that skill happens to be my avatar. Yes change ti back Anet Water eles need any good skill they can get.
