I understand your frustration Wargod. But there's really no way to ensure you'll get better drops, it's pretty much random. Random sometimes can mean you'll pull out 3 awesome gold items quickly, or sometimes you'll go a long time without finding any. So basically, I guess what I'm saying is just stick with it :/

Drops are determined by luck(real life luck)
So if your not getting any good drops, dont think anything is wrong.
Because it isnt.
You will probably someday get a good drop
Or you wont. But if your getting normal drops, and have a lv 20 char, you should have like 1,5k to like 3k per time that you do a quest, seeing as later on. most items/weapons sell for 100+ id'd.

it seems to run in spurts randomly.

one character got a black dye at 19 MINUTES in presear going after skale fins for the belt pouch trade.

the one i am using now in presear has 117 unnatural seeds from aloes ,gargoyle skulls from catacombs and only 2 dyes in over 500 drops where i used to get lots of dyes.

you tell me

If you have played for 400 hours and haven't received a gold drop, you are lying. I'm sorry, but it is just not believable. Even playing a mission late into the game nets you at least 400 gold just picking up everything and selling it to the merchant.

I know the feeling wargod - in general my drops suck.

I've been playing GW since June and have clocked up over 2500 hours across 4 characters (combined = nearly 5,000,000 XP) - 2 have completed GW, and 1 has done everything possible bar Final Assault (and I mean everything - missions, bonuses, quests (SF and titans included), 2nd profession quests x5, capped all elites). In all that time I've yet to get even one max gold weapon with a good bonus, only had 4 black dyes and don't get me started on ecto - a total of 12 across all characters with my ranger never getting an ecto drop even with 100+ trips to the UW and new UW and clearing both (a normal UW trip is at least the smites and mindblades, and ecto's drop - just never for my ranger).

The first drop my monk ever got was a black dye, off of an aloe just outside the gate in pre-sear. I'd almost forgotten, it's been so long.

Drops are luck. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. The only way to even it out is with time, over enough drops something good eventually turns up.

I dont know whats more frustrating not getting gold drops or getting a gold drop with dmg 11% below 50. I have gotten acouple of those. Black dye had one drop on my 3 char a ranger in regent valley during pre sear. I have 1000 hrs on my account and to date i have 1 green drop, 3 shard and 1 ecto. Yeah its luck. All things I just listed except the black dye dropped in the last week to 10 days. Your luck will change

I had back to back good drops on the first two Snarlings in the FoW yesterday.

Sapphire and a Ruby, from the first two kills. I was amazed.

Started a new char in pre today, had 3 straight dye drops. 2 Yellows and a Blue. Chances of that happening...I might as well go buy a lottery ticket.

1000hrs, millions of exp, and I've yet to find a Sup Vigor though. (have found ONE sup absorb) I can tell ya one thing, don't get too excited when that gold armor does drop. 10:1 it'll salvage to a major in my experience.

perhaps more soloing... u cant tell me you have never SEEN a gold drop. When you kill the enemies by yourself you have more chance of getting a good drop purely because it can only be assigned to you.

Want a gold drop?

Pick up a key and start chest running. Somewhere along the line, you're assured to pick up a gold item.

I know, and a not receiving a gold ITEM with 400 hours of play is absurd.
