n/mo... i cant find anything better than minion master in PvE, those monster AI would attack those minion without any doubt. I can have a group of 60 DP + missing one jerk who left and pass an area with a little to no trouble.
Also in late game, spiteful spirit is always welcomed.
the /mo not only help u on ur way to minion master, it also make people feel "oh, he is half monk, not bad".

Well, here's what I did with the last character I created and have since beaten the game with. I've had and still have a lot of fun playing her.
Fina is a R/N, though for the longest time I never even touched the necro secondary. I played the standard low-level marksmanship build up through Beacon's Perch, where I got a run down to Droknar's. There I picked up the traps available at the skill trainer and played as an offensive trapper through the rest of the game, with interrupts thrown in to mess with casters as well. Dodging aggro, laying Dust Traps at point blank to disrupt melee mobs, shutting down casters with Concussion Shot and Choking Gas. . . . I'd wreak havoc wherever I went and would have a ton of fun doing it.

But N/Mo is a great combo, yes, and playing a Minion Master is probably the most fun I've ever had in PvE. My Necro is my favorite character.
I also like R/Me for the interrupts and I ocassionally play a full healer Monk as well, but that gets boring after a while (for me, at least. I like doing damage).

You can have fun with just about any combo. (even W/Mo, dagnabit!)
My W/Mo is currently moonlighting as a W/E (for skill unlocking purposes) and she's quite fun. Nothing like getting all up in the face of an ettin or two (or whatever) and knocking them around a bit! LOL
I've got a Me/N that's a blast to play, still have lots of experimenting to do with her skills.
Monks are fun to play, too. When you get your monk ascended, you suddenly become the most popular person in the Mission area - Especially in the Ring of Fire. One way I have fun with mine is loading up on smiting skills and running around beating on the undead in Kryta.

I started with a n/r. It was fun in the begining then it got kind of borring cuz I started to strugle. I now have a e/mo, Elementalists good for power and the Monk part heals and more people want you in their group. Just a request, yes the world may need everymonk they can get, but if you do choose that please don't be a crapy self healing one. They do no one any good and usually result in the failure of a mission.

. The world needs more monks.
