Factions- Whole new game?

I have read what i can find about the up coming factions. It says its a whole new game so u dont need the original, also it says u can use your original characters and take them to either tyria or the new continent.

Does this mean If i buy Factions, i get 4 new characters i can build + use my existing ones?
& Does this mean if i get some cool new weapon from factions i can go back to the original guild wars map and sell it there?

Whole new game as in if you are not upgrading chapter one. If you upgrade chapter one I think you get one or two slots extra for a total of 5 or 6.

BUT if you were to start with chapter 2 instead of chapter one you get the 4 slots.

ok, so there will b 2 options to purchase? full or upgrade. Nice & i hope the new warrior armor looks good.

you can get 4 new characters and your old ones wont be able to go to factions and the new ones wont be able to go back or you can get 1-2 extra slots and they can go everywhere

Chapter 1 Only = 4 slots
Chapter 2 Only = 4 slots
Chapter 1 & 2 = 5 slots maybe more.

Mandy is right, if you do the two account option you get 8 slots but... you only get access to "core" classes and a set number of c1 skills for them (not all of them) on the c2 account, aka c2 account you won't be able to get "all" the skills for the job unlocked or on a pve character. Unless it one of the two new jobs.
