A couple of bugs...how common are they?
TomD22
Playing GvG recently i've noticed a couple of bugs...one seems to be something people know about and are used to ignoring (although its still annoying) but another seems new and took the people i was playing with by suprise.
Anyway, the first is when in a gvg a player's health in the party windows suddenly starts to degen at the max rate, and keeps going 'till it's all gone (but their name doesn't grey out like they're dead). It's not actually happening to them, and from their perspective they're fine. Sometimes several people in the party can see it happen, sometimes only one person. People don't seem too surprised about this now, and i think it's been around for a while....might be nice to have it fixed though.
The second one seems to me newer and more problematic. On the maps with catapaults, they're glitching strangely evey so often.
The first glitch it when a catapault fires itself. Yes, really, genuinely, i'm sure. It happened while i was in a GvG and we were in the enemy's base, and suddenly down comes the catapault and kills one of us. We all yelled at our flag runner (who was in charge of it at the time) "what the hell are you doing, you just nuked us" to which he yelled back that he was about 20 feet away from it, and hadn't touched it. He didn't fire it, and neither did anyone on the other team - our flagger was standing, as i said, about 20 feet away, and of course could see that no-one was there.
One instance, well, maybe he was just lying. But then it happened again, in a different match, with a different guild (i was guesting the first time). Exactly the same thing - we were in their base, and suddenly the catapault came down and killed someone on our team. Again, we were absolutely sure no-one on our team or theirs had fired it (this time we had a player who had died and ressed at our base, coming back to the fight, close enough to the catapault to be sure no enemy had fired it, and he certainly hadn't either).
Final catapault bug is erratic firing. This one killed me in a match yesterday. I was standing roughly 10 or 15 feet OUTSIDE our base on Hunter's Isle, almost up amongst our henchmen. I had a teammate standing literally right next to me. The catapault had been fired.....and suddenly i was hit for 700 sieg attack damage and killed. The guy next to me (and he was right, right next to me) didn't take any damage at all, from the rest of the team's perspective the catapault shot had landed inside the base. Remember i was outside, standing almost behind it near the henchies, where it can't possibly land.
So, annoying bugs. But how common are they? Anyone else come across them? Any prospect of a fix?

Never saw any of the glitches you say.The best thing to solve this is to send a bug report to a-net.

Both times I reported multiple bugs. All gone.
So not only does Anet deal with bugs you report, they're quick about it too.
Of course, if the bug isn't reproducible, due to lag or buggy display drivers, or you don't give sufficient info for them to find the bug, then there's not much they can do.
In this particular case, the "deteriorating health" is likely to be lag - if you lag out, whatever is going on in the world (degen, for instance) seems to continue until you get connection back and the client updates the world state, then everything that's been going on while you've been 'out' happens very quickly.
The others I don't know, but lag can have weird effects (as neither you nor the enemy are where it looks like).

Let your customers know that the time they took from playing video games did not go wasted.
All of my bug reports have gone unfixed and with replies exactly like I posted.
I stand by my statement.
