Greetings all,

First and foremost I would like to extend a hello to all of you and a thank you for the opporotunity to ask some village idiot questions.

I have been slightly following Guild Wars for the past few months and was wondering what the general opinion is on it. I have not really played many mmo's. The first was EQ2 at a friends house for a day or two when it was released, but then I had purchased World of Warcraft when that had come out and truly have had a fun time playing it for the past few months. Though I must be honest, the last few weeks of playing have been tiresome and boring.

I know Guild Wars is in beta testing, but I was wondering how 'tight' the game is so far. Are there many bugs? How is the UI? Is it user friendly? From the screenies the game looks great. But those are only the graphics.

My apologies on these questions. Any comments or links that would explain gameplay, user interface, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I have looked around but there is so much info on it that I always end up in the wrong place.

I've been thinking about putting together a guide to the UI for the site .. but to answer your question, overall it is fairly simple and intuitive. Most of the information that is important (Your health, energy, and skills) are all neatly gathered together in one place, etc.
As for bugs .. you're still going to find them here and there if you're really looking since we're still in testing phases, but when they are reported, they're often fixed very quickly. I think most people would agree that overall, the game is remarkably stable .. especially compared to most other MMOs.
As for a general opinion... well, i'll let others speak on that. Given my position, the answer i'm likely to give isn't going to be an unbiased one, heh.

Guild Wars is the best game ever. Period. No questions asked.

The game is getting tighter with each BWE. The UI is pretty intuitive. They changed the interface for character creation and I like it much better. We now have the ability to zoom in and out on the character.
