Servants of Fortuna

Servants of Fortuna.... Who are they, beside of a guild which is rank 300 and something.

I am writng this thread because it seems like they have alot of Power here on GW guru.
I have seen alot of posts written by members of this guild and some of them are even admins.
And here what's worring me, some of these guys seems like egos and sounds very selvfish.
I don't think admins should be that way.

pls don't ban me, I don't want to flame any one, I just wants to know why they have power on this site.

SoF is just another casual guild. Some of us like to be helpful so you'll see SoF moderators (not admins) in various forums, or SoF contributors through articles or GuildWiki. However most guildies are silently lurking in shadows and most SoFs are either PvE-oriented or relaxed casual players, hence the ladder rank.

I don't know who's supposed to be "selvfish" but we're generally not gentle with ignorant and immature posters, and especially in sterile rant threads. That said, if you don't like what you see in this forum, feel free to use the "Site Feedback" forum and to complain to other moderators or to actual admins (Inde, Kzap). Q&A is for Guild Wars questions.

Qual, this thread you started was closed with good reason. As FrogDevourer says, PM is the best means of communication if you have an issue; forums are public after all.

ok thx for the nice feed back from both of you. But you must admit that you often see threads about nerfing IWAY...

that might be the reason why your thread was closed. there have already been numerous threads on iway, that it really isn't necessary to start a new one. you can always post your thoughts in one of the many existing ones.

The threads about nerfing IWAY have nothing to do with SOF being mods. I have (on a very rare occasion) called for an IWAY nerf myself. So what point is there is somehow blaming the SOF mods for...um...having "power".

I know for a fact that Inde and Kzap do not grant mod status lightly, and in most cases the same goes for the admin of any other forum. Mods are chosen for a good reason, and seeing these people as mods indicates that the admins trust them enough with their forums. So, in closing, your implication has nothing to do with SoF. They are just prominent posters, nothing more, and I thank all the mods for doing what they do, as a mod myself for my own forums, it can be a pretty tedious job.

First off, any discussion of moderating is not allowed (for obvious reasons). If you have a question why a thread was closed, merged, deleted, please feel free to message myself or Lasareth and we can look into the matter for you. Which is now why this thread will be closed.

Second, and I've said this before, people with similar levels of interest group together. Which is why you will frequently find people from the same guild as moderators, contributors, etc. no matter the gaming forum. We have many outstanding moderators and site contributors from SoF, IQ, and other guilds. I personally approve every new moderator for this site. I can assure you that their guild isn't even a consideration but rather their willingness to contribute, their level of interest and knowledge, and their abilities.
