Hello! ^_^

Hi I was wondering what some good skills that dont use aoe would be. Im planning on changing my ele from earth to fire. What are the best skills that wont make baddies run away?

Many thanks

If you are a fire ele then Immolate is a must on your skill bar. IMO
You should still have an AoE there too. If you're getting pounded on, it is nice to have them run away. At level 20 I still like to use lava font. Fireball is a nice single target attck that also deals some surrounding damage as well as meteor. Phoenix isn't bad either. I'll say that when I play fire that 90% of the time I have Immolate, fireball and Lava Font on my skill bar. the rest I tend to change up. I have been using Incediary Bonds more often lately.

the point of a ele in pvp is to nuke. If you are planning on changing to fire skills, than i would say Fireball or Immolation or Incediary bonds ,either one or both is a must have. Pheonix is a very high damaging spell that the user has to take some risks, but arcane echo/echo this and you will find your enemy helpless. AOE spell such as firestorm or meteor and meteor should also be considered, but i would only choose one of them

Meh Fire Build

Fire~16
Energy Storage~11
Inspiration Magic~8

Fire Ball( 1 hit no run away =) )
Meteor Shower (Most people complain if you DONT have this so... .)
Immolate (Random casting into crowd skill)
Rogdorts Invocation (Massive Immolate, huge dmg, short cast and recharge)
Fire Attunment (duh)
Aura of Restoration (yay health)
Mantra of Recall {E}( Cast before u go into battle)
Res Sig

K a basic battle goes...
1)Tank goes in Aggroes, Cast Mantra, Attune. and Aura
2)Start with Rogdorts
3)Fire Ball and Immolate a caster
4)Re-Cast Mantra
5)Meteor Shower and Immolate
6)Everything should be dead now...

There u have it a good nuker build, Nukers are great in PvE EARTH is
FANTASIC in PvP.

Just look at this...
Rogdorts Invocation:
Cast~3Sec.
Recharge~15sec
Energy~25 ( no Exhaust yes! )

Dmg around 100~120+40 burn I mean come on people this nearly outstrips
meteor shower in terms of conveniency.

If you want to go single target, get things that have short cast and short recharge.

Try Rodgorts Invocation, Immolate, Incendiary Bonds, Fireball, Meteor, Elemental Attunement (E), and whatever else you think you need. Basically you can keep a target or targets burning non stop and at a low energy cost. Elemental attunement over fire attunement, 50% VS 30% energy saved. My nuker only has 79 energy and he can cast all day.

You can still cause mass AoE damage without making baddies scatter. You just can't use Fire Storm and the like to do it.

Most of the time, my fire ele's setup looks like this:

Fireball
Incendiary Bonds
Immolate
Rodgort's Invocation
Meteor Shower
Arcane Echo
Ether Prodigy
Fire Attunment

Or, if I'm in Tombs, I replace Arcane Echo with Mantra of Resolve (I find echoed Meteor Shower is less efficient in there than Meteor Shower and Rodgort's) and swap some points into inspiration. I always keep Fire Attunement (and Resolve if I'm using it) up, preferably casting them a bit before a fight so my energy can regen.

So, start of the fight, I lead with Meteor Shower (or echoed Meteor Shower) if it's needed. Yes, it makes baddies scatter, but not very far because of the knockdowns. And I find it's best to lead with it, since you want it to be hitting as many things as possible and kill some baddies off before they're able to rip into your tank.

Next I throw down a Rodgort's Invocation. It usually hits about the time the first knockdown hits, so everything's still in range. Then I cast Incendiary Bonds, and the three second delay lets the complete burn duration from Rodgort's happen, as well as letting things group back up if they scattered some from Meteor Shower. After Bonds, I use Fireball, which lands just as the damage from Bonds hits, creating a nice AoE spike that matches the damage and burning of Rodgort's for the same amount of energy.

Immolate is there for picking off weak targets when it's not worth using one of your AoE spells, or for when you'd only hit a single enemy anyway. Plus just being able to toss it in while waiting for other spells to recharge is nice.

Ether Prodigy, obviously, is for energy regen. Since Meteor Shower is the only other spell in the build that causes exhaustion, it usually isn't too hard to manage that. If I can tell I'm going to need it, I might pop this on before Fire Attunement and my echoed Meteor Shower, or maybe in between Rodgort's and Incendiary Bonds. Ideally, with Ether Prodigy, you should be waiting on skill recharges more often than energy regen.

Many thanks If you're talking about PvE, your best bet is a standard Echo/GoR nuker and spam Meteor Shower+Fireballs. If you *really* don't want AoE, then ignore the fire line entirely and use Air.
