The Journey
Goats17
(this is my first attempt at RPing, so bear with me. I think i'll take Ristarons idea and go with a cap of 6 ppl.)
The Elementalist stared at the hideous bird-like Tengu creature before him. He raised his home-made wand and began chanting an incantation he had known since he was born.
"Lightning Orb"
He had hit his target, it had burst into flames, then the real Tengu had come form behind the rock, where she had been observing him.
"Mom, you were WATCHING me, weren't you. Why can't I get any privacy here?"
"Oh, you know you like the praise, stop whining," she said, with her rustic Tengu dialect of English.
The young man smiled, and rufled her feathers.
"That may be true, but will you please respect my wishes from now on? Please?"
"Alright, since you have been training with your father as well as me you have become such a warrior. Look we have something for you." She begins to pull a sword out from a sheath, hidden on her back. "Your father found this on one of those adventurers, the ones that come out of the city."
The man stared at the sword, it appeared to be made of ice, and froze the air around it.
"Wow, thanks mom. I'll treasure it forever, and hopefully it will last twice as long as that." This was a jab at her because of the last sword she had brought him. " Can I try hitting the rock with this one?"
And just at that moment a plan that had been hatched in a seedy room in Lions Arch came into action. A plan to rescue a human from the clutches of the Tengu. A human that the adventurers thought had been taken hostage, instead of growing up with them.
(i'll leave that open for other people to join in here)
(just a note, my guy doesnt have a name yet, any suggestions would be welcome, try and work it into the story if your playing, like the adventurers(you guys) can rescue me and hopefully find a name)

Hey, I'm pretty in on the whole roleplaying thing, did some of it back in the old runescape days, but now I have to be an elementalist. Sounds like fun .
longboringname
If your still on, I'll be making my character if you don't mind me joining.
Goats17
sure, w/e dude( just to let u guys know, I'm 14, don't expect great shakespeare works from me.)
longboringname
Good, I can't keep up those other Roleplayers. Their messeges are like a billion words long.
Goats17
(well this is taking too long so I'll continue a few lines into the fight.)
As the warrior rushed in with his shout of "CHARGE" the young, solidly built Elementalist began chanting a spell he knew, while simultaniously drawing a glyph in the air and charging the warrior. Unfortunatly, he was too late to save his mother, who was cut down, just as soon as she screamed for help from their bretheren.
"Lightning Orb"
At a range this close their was no way he could miss...

Name: Zelden
Age: 18
Sex: Male
Race: Human
Class: Elementalist
Personality: Zelden can change from very perky and annoying, to Depressed and quiet, or to angry and furious in a second. When he’s happy, he won’t shut up. When he’s depressed, he says mean things to people. When he’s angry, he takes out his anger on someone or something.
Appearance: Zelden walks around in 15k Hydromancer armor dyed gold (that’s what I really look like) which matches his eyes that are a glistening, pale blue. He keeps an All seeing eye with him at all times. His hair is bushy and light blue with streaks of dark, ocean blue with his bangs combed over to the right. Zelden has tan skin and stands at 5-foot-5.
Equipment: Zelden keeps a wand and artifact for every element. The wands and artifacts are highly powerful but he still dreams of claiming the items of the mighty elementalists, Flint, Rago, Galigord, and Runar.
Bio: Zelden was born to a couple who believed that the path to greatness lied in the hands of the divine spirits. In other words, they wanted Zelden to be a monk. They promoted Zelden to be a monk. This was easy because whenever he got a bruise or cut, his mother or father would heal it. He wanted to be like them but they couldn’t teach Zelden, they had jobs to do. Zelden’s parents sent him to get educated away from home. The transportation was mixed up with another child so instead, Zelden was given the power of the elements. Instead, he wanted to be like the famous elementalists out there like Flint, Rago, Galigord, and Runar. When he returned home, he was nervous of what his parents would think. Zelden’s parents were truly disappointed so they decided to give him away. Zelden was an orphan. His educator came back to his home to pick him up. Zelden’s teacher adopted him and he lived with this woman until he could move out. Over the years, Zelden’s foster mother taught him more about the elements. She taught him every spell, hex, or enchantment she knew, but there was MUCH more to learn. One night, Zelden grabbed a bunch of books that he’s never looked at before and began to read. His mind was hauling all of these things he has never imagined himself learning. When he was old enough, Zelden set out to search for the best of the best, seeking these great elementalists in hopes of learning the most complicated elemental magic ever. The only delay was that the Guild Wars had just begun, so he had a major delay in his plan. He found a great city named Ascalon and met a man named Sir Tydus. This man needed some extra help for the war against the Charr. Zelden offered help. Two years later, the post-searing had arrived. Finally, he could continue his quest.

Ooc: Ok
But amazingly the Hulking mass of muscle did!
"I've seen our bowmasters do that technique, wats it called? Oh, well. Doesn't matter. This bastard is going down," he thought as he brought his sword down on the poor warriors shoulder. That in itself nearly cleaved his whole arm off, but at the last minute an unknown Elementalist shouted a healing prayer. His attack had been useless. And now the warrior knew he was somehow allied with the Tengu.
(if thats not a good enough cue I don't know what is man. )

Bic: Zelden slowly stepped toward the human. What is this human doing with Tengu? he asked himself. Does he come with a name? Zelden looked at the elementalist and his sword.

OOC:last one, I promise, you should post that bio on the bio thread here. Now, no more OOC
The man stared at this other elementalist for a few seconds, before hearing the screechs that only meant one thing. His father was here, and had seen his mother's dead body. A death magician had begun to recite a spell, right when he was about to cast it, an air blast hit him straight in the chest and he fell down dead.
" YOU WILL NOT USE MY MOTHERS BODY AS A DEMON FACTORY!!"
He had always hated that necromancer anyway.
Just as he shouted this the rangers started to notch arrows on their bows, and aimed directly at the warrior that had hewn his mother. The young man turned his gaze to the elementalist that had heal his comrade. This would be an easy fight. For rage fueled his fighting, and made him ten times stronger.

"I'll use Earth magic for this fight." Zelden pulled out his favorite earth wand and scroll.
"ward against elements!"
"ward against melee!"

Zelden had realized all of the arrows aiming at his friend. He pointed his wand at his friend and chanted:"Armor of Earth!"
Goats17
As the young hero attacked he watched amazed as his attacks seemed to bounce of the young elementalist.
"Well then, if a sword won't work, then I'll use my magic." He said, as he hurriedly switched his frosty sword with his Hale staff.
"Aura of Restoration, Lightning Orb, Lighning Javelin, Lightning Strike, Shock"
Again amazed as his spell did almost no damage. But his sudden barrage of penetrating attacks could be ignored by nothing, and even though he had become exhausted, he knew that at least some of the damage had gotten through the invisible barriers. He just hoped the warrior didn't decide to come after him now.
Then he noticed that all the arrows had just bounced off the warrior. More magic. Where did this person learn all his spells?

"I hope your ready for more offensive Earth magic!" Zelden prepared for an energy-consuming spell.
"Earthquake! Obsidian flame! stone daggers!"
Zelden hoped that his earthquake would make the enemy fall over. If he didn't that would just make Zelden madder.

Zelden tried some more defensive magic to back-up his wards, but he had conusmed so much energy useing his spells, he fell over in exhaust.
He just laid there, half asleep trying to ragain his energy. It was hard do to the fact that he had used all of those exhausting spells, he never thought it would wear off

As soon as the birds felt the earth begin to shake they all began to run away. Our young hero saw this and decided it was a good idea.
"Windbourne Speed!"
and although this spell allowed him to move faster, he was not fast enough. All three spells hit him, and blackness was all he could see.
"So this is what unconsciousness is like," he thought,"what will happen to my family?" - the last thoughts before the feeling was entirely lost.

As he regained his conscious, Zelden realized the noise coming from the Tengu had vanished. He opened his eyes just a little crack to notices the sun wasn't even out. It was just night. Zelden sat up looking around, he couldn't see anything because his eyesight was hazey after just waking up. Zelden looked around and after he could tell what he was seeing again, the other elementalist and he were the only people around. "What happened to the Tengu?" he thought. "That was pretty impressive air magic." Zelden told himself.

Zelden crawled over to the stranger. He gave the man a slight nudge. "Hey wake up, we've been out for a while." Zelden waited for the man's response.
Goats17
The man waited and watched, his time for revenge would come soon, the man was crawwling over.
As the man nudged him he prepared to jump up while whispering an incantation. Then he realized, His parents were dead. He had nothing left in this world. He might as well make the best of the situation.
"What do you want?" He whispered so softly he barely heard himself. This was going to be a long night.
OOC: BTW, we in NKP, so if we gonna go back to town, we should go to Lions Arch.

"I just came over to wake you up, it's night, we should get back to Lions Arch before the Teng-" Zelden paused when he said this trying not to offend the other elementalist. "We should go because we need a place to sleep."
Goats17
"Whats wrong with my clan's huts over there? Thats where I've always slept. I've only been to the stone place when I had to try to take a staff."
longboringname
"Because your half Tengu." Zelden responded. "I need a proper bed and you need to get to know us humans. You'll never fit in if you do...Tengu things."
Goats17
"Alright, I'll get up, but you have to help me. I don't know very much about humans"
