Okay, I wish to know whether or not the Stonefist Gauntlets effect the knockdown time of Backbreaker and other set-duration effects like Gale. I have searched, and I got conflicting and out-of-date answers, so would someone just tell me, please?

Stonefist Gauntlets don't affect set knockdown times.

The Stonefist gloves only affect kd time if it has no set kd time. Gale for example has 3 seocnds kd time so the gloves will not affect the length, back breaker has 4 seconds kd time so the gloves wont do any good here either, but if its davastating hammer with NO set kd time then the gloves will add an extra second of kd.

I havent used my gauntlets in about a month, but before that, they added time to all my kd moves. Hell I was using backbreaker and the enemy would stay down forever. This is news to me, and now I have no use for those stupid gauntlets.

Stonefist gauntlets affect all Knockdowns and ups them 1 second, but with a maximum of 3 seconds.

the new description of the gauntlets is pretty clear about that.

on a hammer warrior : yes (unless your only KD skill is backbreaker)
on an axe/sword with shock : yes
on an axe/sword with gale : no

shock (being a 1 sec KD) gets upped to 2 seconds, gale however, being 3 seconds already, is not upped, as it already reached the maximum. Backbreaker is also not affected as it is already passed the maximum affected KD time (4 seconds as opposed to the 3 seconds cap)
