E/W Please, The New Rare
Mickey
I really think this is going to be the new rare, Mist Form with Wary Stance, you take no damage, and evade most attacks, that combined with powerful water magic spells make a fearsome opponent. The other build I like to think about is Ward Against Melee with Obsidian Flesh, or Armor of Earth with Kinetic Armor, spamming Stone Daggers and using fire magic with AoE's to finish opponents off. If you have a E/W rare build, please post it.

Picking this apart:
1. Mist Form is susceptible to enchant removal. It's also not going to save you from non-attack damage, like spells. There are better Elites you could be using.
2. Wary Stance blocks attack skills for a rather short amount of time. It too won't save you from spells.
3. Water isn't that scary a skill line. Your best hope is to snare and run.
4. Earth and Fire? Eles already aren't doing much with one attribute line, let alone you're spreading yourself into two of them. I don't see how you're going to use both Earth and Fire, have skills that do damage, and still have energy at the end of all this.
Basically, you're going for anti-Warrior, but you're pretty much doing it the wrong way. Buffing yourself won't stop Warriors much, and you have virtually nothing against anyone else. Pick some other combo, Eles don't get anything out of a /W secondary.

Your just going to have to pray you picked the good elemental armor then yes?
If your going to be good against melee and at least 1 elemental energy type than choose Fire or Air (everyone chooses those anyways).
Use a Hydromancer/Warrior
Yes Hydromancers can be scary. A Warrior needs to stay in melee.
If a hydromancer starts off with a water spell/skill or hex then a warrior can't close in melee can't he?
I'll post my build soon.

I had an E/W once. It was funny. Went like this:
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Bonetti's Defense
Obsidian Flame
Crystal Wave
Armor of Earth
Heal Signet
Res Signet
I'd annoy warriors enough that they'd come over to hit me, switch to sword and shield, and get them with the ripostes. At the very worst, I was keeping them away from squishier targets while they wasted time on me.

E/W
Earth Magic: 10+1+3
Hammer Mastery: 12
Energy Storage: 8+1
1. Devestating Hammer {e}
2. Crushing Blow
3. Stoning
4. Aftershock
5. Obsidian Flame
6. Armor of Earth
7. Earth Attunement
8. Rez Sig
Just run up to someone build up addrenlin for devestating hammer, unleash it from top to bottom, and the guy is either dead or limping away with 10- 20 health left. If hes still alive hit him once more with stoning and move on.
Sure it has no self heals. But with a monk you wont have to worry about that. Even without a monk though you kill people so fast that you hardly even need heals.

Just tried that hammer build. It's pretty deadly if they don't run away after first knockdown. Also for some reason there's a huge delay in starting the Obsidian Flame which probably would allow some heals to get in. I usually built adrenaline with a staff then switched to a hammer for the combo.

once i was in CA and we were wining preaty well , then someone said , i love this water axe. i had no idea what were the stats , but i can imagine a axe that req even if its 10 in water ... lots of free atributes from the axe mastery are free for other stuff ..

thanks for that idea about building adrenaline with a staff. i typically build up adrenialine on some unimportant target and then quickly switchted to my real target and unleash my combo.
And about that lag, i've noticed it on a lot of builds that use pbaoe damage and require firing a lot of skills off quickly. I dont know if this is similar to the lag after a ranger interupt or just due to lag on the servers. I don't know but it does suck badly. So if anybody knows anything about this please tell me so i can work around it.

Normal skills have a .75 second aftercast. Most PBAOE skills have a 1.75 second aftercast. It is completely unrelated to lag.
