I have started a new character for the first time on guild wars and I though I would go for the warrior ranger. I’m happy with my character an all but it’s the pet I was thinking about

I was reading the pre-searing guide and I noticed that there are several different types of pet that you can have. Does anyone know what the best pet is to have?

The type of pet makes no difference to effectivness, its purely cosmetic

Thats not entirely true, the damage type differs for certain animals. Doesnt effect their health or armor rating but it makes some of them more effective then others in places.

I kept my Melandru's Stalker from Pre-Searing... Didn't have to do much to complete a Ranger quest in Post.

In Pre you only have the warthogs, stalkers, and Striders.

Outta those, the Stalker.

Later if you want a pimp looking pet go Dune Lizard - I love Dune Lizards.

Can you actually get that bunny from pre-searing, cause once I found it I got rid of my stalker, then I went too the toilet and forgot al about it

I went to post searing and remembered the bunny, but I didn't think I could get it anyways, don't tell me I was wrong :s

No, you can't tame it.

I'll stick with my lvl 20 Strider in pre-searing, yay!

I'm kinda surprised no one posted this guide from the main page

It'll explain the pets in detail and give you an idea of what would suit you best.
