Skill points an bonus
Halmyr
let bonus give a skill point in addition to 1000 exp for 2 reasons
1) it would give a bonus a bigger meaning. people would have more of an incentive to do them. Yeah some people will be like if we dont do bonus I quit, but thats when you create BONUS ONLY group.
2) it would make it that much eaiser to unlock skills.yeah later on its a bit harder to get skill point, so this should help a lot
well tell me what you think?

I totally agree.
ANET said they would make it easier to obtain skill points.
I have yet to see that happen.

Yeah I think it's a good idea too. There's no incentive for me to do bonuses. I get really mad when I get in a PUG that starts whining about a bonus. I tell them straight up, if you want 1000 XP, go out and farm for 10 minutes. Don't waste 20 or 30 of mine doing some silly task.

I think it's a good idea too. I will admit that later in the game the 1000xp earned is not that big of a deal to me anymore. If I get the bonus great, if not oh well. Getting the extra skill point would be enough of an incentive for me to actually want to complete the bonus.

Also give the skillpoints retroactively to all players who already have completed the bonuses

I wrote it sometime ago... but how about a Item (call it Sigl of Skill) that give you automatic a skill point? Of couse, it would also be a rare drop that have a market value of about 8k... but add on more desirble goods.

Just take out skill points. Skills already cost a boatload of money. If somebody wants to twink by using grandfathered money to unlock everything the Ascalon trainer has as soon as they get seared, I don't care, because that just drives their price up.

I disagree...
Bonuses are well... bonuses... you shouldnt "complain" about what you get from a bonus... some are tidious and time consuming but they are exactly what they are called "Bonuses!" I find that at level 20, getting levels for more skill points is very simple, if you go through all of the missions you get quite a few skill points, and you level while doing everything which gives you even more skills points. I have around 350k xp thats an estimate.. and 40 skills points in the bank, its not that i dont buy skills ive only bought skills that i use at that current moment.
Bonuses do help you get skill points in way.. its 1000 exp, thats a pretty fair amount and im sure you have leveled quite a few times while doing missions.
I doubt i will ever spend my skill points as a lot of skills i just dont use, and a lot ive already gotten from quests.
Quests+Skills points you just have to spend on skills= A lot of skills, im not sure why you need more if your doing all the missions and xping in some sort of way.. its hard to avoid exping in the game as it is a vital part.
I think bonuses are fine the way they are and shouldnt be changed, the one thing i think could be changed is that the exp you get from missions should be increased as you level

i think if u do bonnuses for xp is not good idea... To earn few K xp easy go farm griffons few times and u ll get few k of xp...
Or even better and fun is doing quests in UW ( old ) where u get 10k xp each run.. and have some fun while doing it..
About bonuses i d say that bonus should be something realy hard to do ( not just run here speak to XY .... )... I think we should put some real effort into completing bonuses. Therefore bonuses should have some extra rewards ( but not like something in items or sth. ), maybe by doing bonus u unlock extra area on your map or something like that...

I definitely agree. I used to think they gave you skill points, but since I actually realized that they didn't, I was so mad. I did all the bonuses anyway out of lack of anything better to do, and now I have just one titan and one part of SF left to finish, and I have to say that I'm mad. The skill points I got were from constantly solo farming with scrolls, and all the money I made went into the scrolls. It was really annoying and a waste of time, and I really think they should give us the few skill points from the bonuses. I really don't see why not, we'd only have the ability to get about 20 more skills out of it, and when you think about it, that's a good amount that I think we kind of lacked all along, plus we can use them for extra classes. I mean seriously, in the current state, the ability to change secondaries is horrible. Like anyone really buys very many skills from another class in the first place. You have to map 4 times if you're in PVP just to swap your secondary, when I don't see why you should have to map in the first place for something you already have. If we had to go along a path killing stuff, that'd be a different story, but as is, we have to move to another place and back just inconveniently, I mean it's not like you can't do it in the first place.
It's kind of ridiculous if you think about it that way, and how you are practically forced to unlock most of your skills through PVP.
