Well, tonight I broke down and went through the academy. (2nd time) It was neat to see some of the new things in Seared. I even had a pair of the Pyro Boots crafted for me with the cloth I brought over. Imagine my surprise when I put them on, and they looked just like the ones I was wearing earlier! They still looked cool in my inventory though.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

Well, I'm not sure what's going on with the clothes, but I noticed that this time, unlike before, the "armor: 15" and "armor: 30" items for my female elementist looked exactly the same. In all events before they looked different.

The appearance of the clothes were changed a lot several times:
- formerly partially look-through clothes now are rather "solid"
- the starter's top used to have some kind of wings
- the starter's super-mini-skirt is gone.
- the "armor 30" top used to look like the top of an evening-dress, now in addition it also features some kind of a jacket on top of it.

Makes me wonder if somebody complained about the old designs looking too sexy, because IMHO they were

Hmm. Not in my experience, in fact my experience is the opposite of that. In previous BWEs, from the examples I saw, if two items said they were "Pyromancer Boots", they looked the same, regardless of what their AL was. Appearance was determined by name, not by number. I updated my full Pyromancer outfit a couple of times to higher AL's with no appearance change except for when I first switched to Pyromancer armor.

This BWE, OTOH, I saw differences with identical names, e.g. my Ranger's "Rawhide Vest" from KoA looked nothing like the "Rawhide Vest" he obtained in RoA.

Here's an "old vs new" pic, featuring the top of my char from the Feb BWE (left) and of my new char from the Mar BWE (I hope attaching the file worked).
In the Mar BWE the armor 15 as well as the armor 30 both looked just like the one on the right.
I can't tell if there was a difference in the appearance of boots and gloves though...
