When Faction is release: Old vs New
Vermilion Okeanos
Are you going to play your old character through the faction story first? Or you going to make a new class right away and start from there?
Personally, I think I will play my old character first, then as I watch others get their new class armor (15k etc), I can decide to use female or male character depending which look better (and what class).

Im goingto play one of my Old chars thru Ch2, because then you are able to change your secondary anyways. Though I wont say I wont switch and play some new proffessions along with it =)

I plan on using my warrior and quickly running to all the areas, then offering running services. Im hoping for alot of the current players to want runs to get their max armor fast on the new classes. That and the new classes dont interest me too much.

I may add new character if there are any new slots, but Diana is going to Catha
Eldin
My good ranger, Eldin, is going through Cantha and all of its campaign. I may bring my ele and monk through too, but they may be on hold a bit...is Cantha's pre-searing ish area only for factions-created chars, or are Chapter 1 chars also taken to it. I may try a factions ritualist/assassin to try out their pre-searing if you cannot access it via Chapter 1. Or just try them out for the heck of it, to see if assassins still walk like drunk gorillas by the official release time.

Hmm well that's a good question; never thought about that.
As much as I want to play through as an Assassin, I'll probably go through as my monk first, since there should be a high demand for them(as usual). Then I'd know what to expect a second time through.

Eldin
My ranger was my first char, my favorite, and has had the best experience. Besides rangers' superior versatility, I found my experience the same. Hard times, average times, easy times, etc...as opposed to my monk, where instead of 100% experiencing of life, she's more of a "haha I can heal myself who cares if you beat me up". My ele is like "I'm frail but I can blow stuff up in moments". I would like my first char to go to Cantha to have a similar well-rounded experience. So off Eldin goes.
...that and my ele is on Thirsty, my monk is in pre-searing. Though they'll probably make their way to LA by the time Factions comes out.

i dont think you can play your lv20 from GW in the Faction called started area, i think u can only join after the ascend bit in Factions.
i think thats what i read, not 100% sure, check gailes chats i think its in one of them.

Ritualist armor looks nasty to me, Asssassin primary isn't that great, it is just a faster lower armored warrior/Me :P Its skills are better than warrior skills though.
I will probably end up with E/Rt, Mo/A or A/Mo .

Going to take my Monk with 50 skill points and use life barrier. Barrier makes all of pve a breeze with any pug.

I am investing in materials to sell for ch2 armor crafting... hopfully I did invest the right items =P
I hope ch2 PvE give us some real twist in monsters.
Glasswalker
Yes and yes. I will use my current characters to unlock the new skills, and I will create a new character (or two) to play through with.
SaintGreg
I plan on making a character to play through with my friends together to get the new skills, and on my own play through on all my existing chars for the skills, and so I can get them to every place.

I will be making a ritualist healer and playing through the new content, god damm I cant wait for C2
Xasew
I'll make an Rt/A with offencive Rt skills. Then when I've done that 2-3 times I'll say "Finally, now I can start to do PvP again".
Grinding for skills FTL.

I'm going to play through it as my Monk first, don't like the new classes that much. Ritualist might be a fun secondary, though, I only know about 50% of the Ritualist skills.
Kai Nui
Yeah, I'm saving up the skill points for Ritualist secondary. Me/Rt would probably work out great, as I already have all the Me/Mo/N skills on this character already, and from what I have seen, I think it'll be an interestingly fun yet familiar combo.

I have currently one main character where I play most of the day with, I have a ranger too but only use it for UW trapping. Got bored of that. So time for a Monk. So I have 2 slots left and I'm making a new char to play chapter 2
