So this time, I go farm WITH THE SOLE PURPOSE OF obtaining regular weapons for salvaging. Instead I get these:

Try not farming griffons for a week. your drop credit will go crazy and youll get a gold or two for about 4 runs in a row. I stopped for a month...Africa, Family, Christmas and I got 4 gold on one run 3 on another and didnt go to any other town. I just ported to augury and left, got golds, ported ect. Lasted for 9 rounds then the drops died down but were still avg.

Yeah that's what I notice too...sometimes.
My best run yielded a black dye, 3 golds, and an elonian key. But that wasn't an irony, that was just luck :P

Wow, I just finished my 55 monk and have been doing a little farming in the desert - The best i have gotten so far is a purple air staff, and i have gotten a lot of hydra claws.

First of all, corspes, as stated above, dissappear after a time.
Second of all, he took the screenie specifically to show that the Desert Griffons dropped each item.
