Hench-in-a-can

just a quick silly 1 but could be very useful.you could buy them from the merchant, there would be 1 for each class, and you could use it to replace leavers/dc'ers with a henchman.would have to be over tested to make sure there are no exploits with it (THK with 30 hench-in-a-can that sort of thing).
what you all think,happy posting.

Really annoying to quit the mission just before the bossfight because healer or DDs err7/just quit, replacement henchies would be pretty nice at that point.

I'd rather see that as an option the party leader can invoke for free whenever someone leaves or drops, rather than as something that needs to be bought. (Although the idea of a just-add-water Alesia is pretty amusing.)

A customizible Hench would be great (one that you can buy skills, equipments, and has personal quests and dialog that would convsers with you) But I guess that is not what you are talking about....
So.. before I was mislead... I don't think the Replacement Hench need to come as an item. I think it can be done automaticly... where when someone leave, he will leave a cropses... which when rezed, will be replace by the henchman of that class (with the same DP). I think that is all that is needed.

Well, I dont know about buying a henchy ahead of time. But when someone quits or falls off the net, I would be all for the game asking the party leader if he wants to replace that person with a like henchy. I.e. if an ele left you can get a ele henchy.

I wouldn't mind keeping a genie in a bottle ... (especially if it was Barbara Eden)

Um, maybe not then can but I would like something like in tombs when someone drops a henchman gets added, I think the leader should be able to get a henchman replacement from some menu.
RBK
/signed, but what if you don’t have a can opener? Smash it against a rock? that could be quite funny! or use it as weapon and then a hench springs out while your wacking the charr lol

another situation that may incure is:
Warrior (without ress signet) "I cant ress you, please logout. So the rest of us, can use a hench in a can.
Despite this, I think this is a good idea

In any case there ought to be a warning label:
WARNING. CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE. USE ONLY UNDER CLOSE ADULT
SUPERVISION. FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY. PLACE ON GROUND. DO NOT
HOLD IN HAND OR THROW. LIGHT FUSE AND GET AWAY.

it could be like a material trader, Lina is more expensive than for example Orion. But this means that monsters can drop them. hmm
Or another idea, after you released the henchie, you can use the can as a skill to capture a monster. 20 second cast to make it somewhat hard.

This is staring to sound too much like Pokemon (where's Christ Ninoo at?). But I think the initial idea is pretty good. With the number of droppers for personal reasons, connection reasons, GW reasons, etc., I would be thrilled to see some type of compensatory mechanism be put in place.
