A/N

I went Mo/N at the start but then changed to Mo/W and now might switch to Mo/Me...I never used the Necro skills (although i do have a N/Me main character) but i do like the damage-dealing W sword skills with my 55 build.

Mo/E

My personal Monk experience has been that I typically don't use many of the spells from my secondary. I flip between Mo/W and Mo/E right now, but I've also got /Me, /R, and /N unlocked for future use.

Having said that... Warrior will give you Bonetti's Defence which is great for when you are out of energy and getting beaten on. Elementalist is great for setting up wards as a supplement to a Prot monk build. Mesmer and Necromancer have methods for gaining/stealing health and energy from the foes around you. Rangers have preparations and spirits that make your existing setup work that much better.

It's all about your playstyle really, there's no one 'best' way to play a monk.
