Factions question

Ok i got a few questions:

Are we going to have to buy factions if we have the game? If so how much is it?

I've read that factions is a stand alone game and u dont need gw to play it, so if someone buys factions w/o havin gw will they not b able to go to anywhere on the gw map?

You don't have to buy factions; however if you want to access the new continent/story/professions, you will have to. No one knows for sure but if you save up enough for another copy of the original, you should probably have enough

Yes Factions is stand alone. However if you buy it and don't add it to an existing GW account, you'll only be able to access the Factions content and a few limited skills of the original 6 characters. You will not be able to do the original story.

If you wanna play with asssain and ritualist and see the new Chapter 2 experince yes you buy FACTIONS. They won't make a huge update for those who are buying the games at the store themself. Only to see its huge ass update. The cost of the game is not said as for when it will be released. Some time during spring at the most. Factions is a standalone game but you cant travel back to Chapter 1, and yes can't go on the map.

expansion cost has not been stated yet, but since it's going to act as a standalone as well as an expansion, expect it to be in the same neighborhood as the original ($50 or so).

I was just wondering, does anybody actually have any idea how many skills we're talking about here, and/or what those skills are?

I'm considering buying Factions, but the idea of being so limited with the 6 core professions kinda turns me off. Do we have any info on which Tyria skills will be available to new Factions core professions?
