Sorry to revive this thread. But I was wondering why no one has mentioned Tarnok's Recurve Bow. I'm currently 100% PvE and have 2 bows. Note: My Ranger is 2 weeks old.
Elswyth's Long Bow - for pulling with poison from a safe distance.
Boulderbeard's Short Bow - When things get up front and personal.
I want to fill the last two set spots I have and was considering the above mentioned bow along with a Customized one.
Any thoughts?

As many people on this forum will tell you sundering is absolutely worthless. Even though Tarnok's recurve has my favorite bow skin in the game (Dragon Skin Horn Bow), you'd get much more use out of Elswyth's Recurve. Elswyth's is simply THE best bow you can get for the price if you're going to be barraging. And then for your last spot I would suggest a horn bow if you want to play a spike build.

Right now i basically use an Sundering Eternal Bow of Marks and a Sundering Longbow of Marks for general everyday use.. I do carry a ton of bows with me though, all different, but those 2 are the ones that never move from my weapon slots 1 and 2. (And please don't go on about how both those 2 mods are useless, i have been in many debates over it and don't care, thanks. 
)

By the way, because money wasnt an issue, I have now added the folllowing Bows;
Dragos Flat Bow
Stinger
Elswyth's Recurve
I know there not the "bomb" bow, but I now have more than enough of a selection to suit most tasks.

I have a Shadow bow max dmg +15%^50, +5 armor and vampiric
Then I have a Longbow max dmg, sundering 10/10 and armor +5
Then I have a shortbow +15^50, +7 armor against physical, and soon to be Vampiric.
Thats all..

yeah there can... tho they don't drop anymore... i think it was within the first few weeks after GW was released 12%-15% bows would drop and not have a negative modifier... ANeT fixed and now they are very rare... i'd like to see a screenshot tho as this would prolly be one of the rarest bows in the game
