Doppleganger

OK - I know most of you can beat this thing in 8 seconds or whatever, but I just made it to this last night, and could not beat the thing. Granted I only tried a few times (it was late
, but it was draining my health really quickly. I am a Necro/Ele. Does the Doppleganger go in with the same skills you have equipped, or does it have access to all of them? I'm sure I can kill it eventually, but wanted to know if anyone had any tips?? I almost had it once, but than it used Life Siphon and I was out of energy....

The Doppleganger is a "mirror" of you. It will use the same skills you have equipped and it will use them with the equivalent of a full 12 attribute points. My strategy is: don't put anything on your skill bar that you don't have very high stats in and you don't want redirected at yourself.
The Dopple will try and do some stances/spirits/etc first, so some use those to make him waste time while they beat on him. Search around and you can find a way to beat him with any profession.

Take a bunch of sacrificing skills for him to use to lower his life. Other skills that don't do anything are good, like an elemental attunement when you don't have any of those element's spells equipped.
Avoid any healing spells so he won't recover from his sacrificing and your attacks. Life Siphon would be ok since you'll prolly use it on each other.

this may work for you as it worked for me with my Mesmer/Ele. I noticed that the dopple will cast every enchantment, condition or what ever that you bring along and will (in my experience anyway) use them in the order they are layed out in your skill bar. Bring any necro skill you have that does not cause you damage if used, if you have any that sacrifice life or what not, bring those. For my mesmer I brought a pile of enchantments and firestorm, Meteor Shower+Arcane Echo (echo being mesmer skill)
My trick in beating the dopple and getting the bonus was to target her right away and cast echo then Meteor shower. Meanwhile my dopple is casting all these enchantments on herself and gets pounded by meteors. Echo turns into meteor shower so I recast meteor shower which interupted the dopple in her meteor shower cast. Next I dumped firestorm on her and pelted her with my staff as she was running around trying to dodge it and she was dead without harming me once.
This was also my 10th try and various skills lol.
So bring useless skills the dopple can tie themselves up with in casting while you get the big damage skills in then pick the dopple off.

The Key is to bring the least amount of skill possible. That's what I say.
