How do I split stacks of items?

I thought for sure it was something like hold shift while moving and it will ask you how many you want to split up but I can't find a key combo that works.

I know of no way to do it. Even if you drop part of it outside of town, when you pick it up again it restacks.

An interesting side note. Was "muling" some crafting materials for a friend from one account to another. I didn't think to look at the quantities, and his stuff stacked with materials I was carrying. Had to ask him how many of each he had.

I really wish would could hit "shift' and unstack a specific amount. Maybe in Factions......

trade some to ur friend. go to stash and put key in stash. trade friend. go to stash and put key in stash on different stack. ect..
