Necromancer/Monk Build Help

Hi everyone!

I had a great idea awhile back: what if Protective Bond stopped sacrifices from stealing more than 5% health? Then skills like Blood Renewal and Verata's Sacrifice would really shine -- you'd keep 28% of the health you'd otherwise sacrifice, and spend only a few energy in the process. Sounds like a good deal, right?

Unfortunately, Protective Bond does not work this way, so the build I was going for is scrapped. Now, at level 17 and having just arrived in the Amnoon Oasis, I'm at something of a loss for what to do with this character, since my primary idea kind of fell through.

To get up to this point, I've been primary support with my group of henchmen -- with spells like Faintheartedness and Shadow of Fear, supplementing my debuffs with heals like Healing Breeze and Heal Area (or Heal Other, depending on how zergy a mission is). I was intending to switch to Blood and Protection, but now I'm not so sure.

So... can anyone suggest a good build for me? As it is, I sometimes feel like my henchmen teams would honestly do better if I weren't there. I want something that makes me feel very, very useful, and I don't know what it is. So if anyone has any ideas, feel free to chime in. Thanks!

Shadow strike, Vapmiric gaze, dark pact, Life Siphon, Well of Blood. Healing Breeze, Orision of healing, and Ressurect

those are my main skills in this build.

I focus all my points in to Blood and healing, and some into soul reaping. This is AoE/Healer build. I find this very effective in PvP. With the vampiric gaze and shadow strike i can do a decent amount of damage to my enemy. While during some massive healing.

I have a similar build as the one mentioned about, here is what I got.

Attack-> Shadow Strike/Vampiric Gaze/Blood Pact/Bane signet
PT Support-> Faintheartness/Healing Breeze/Resurrect
Self Support-> insidic Bond

I focus all my attribute points on Blood/Curse/SP/Smiting

I think the key, as with other energy base class, is to have a skill that can be used when your energy is low. For that I have a Bane Signet and soon to swap out blood pack with a barbed signet. [lower down time = Higher DOT]

Thanks for the advice, guys.

I've switched to this build and it's pretty entertaining for PvP. I kind of wish the other lines were as viable for 4v4, but I've tried both Curses and Death and found them rather underwhelming, all things considered. And also, I think being a Monk secondary was generally a mistake, since Necromancers get so much self-healing anyway.

Once I ascend, I'll just switch to Warrior, I think. It's kind of popular now... but I bet there's a reason for that.

Monk sub is good for support. Remember it is a "TEAM" effort, playing Rambo is not the point of the game.
