killing the Sacred Griffon

My 55 monk (Mo/Me) is trying to change her secondary to Nec. To do so she needs to kill the Sacred Griffon, the blue boss south of Augury.

For the life of me I can't snuff that critter. She bangs away at it with everything she has including SOJ, but he heals himself faster than she inflicts damage. I got Diversion, thinking that would stop his healing, but it didn't work. My options are limited, I have to bring a ton of healing to keep myself alive plus Zealots Fire and SOJ. Not many slots open to improvise.

Would someone who has successfully killed this stubborn creature please tell me how you did it?

Scourge Healing, my friend, Scourge Healing. Throw in some SoJ, maybe a little ZF. Cover, simmer over low heat for 2 minutes. Fluff and serve.
