Question about PvP

Hi,
I have a few questions about how PvP will work in guildwars. I'de like to do PvE and work up my character and then be able to PK with him. You know, like if an enemy group is in an area you want or someone annoys yah, can you just attack other players in the game? If so what are the penalties and so on. Thanks for your time.

There's no PKing in GW. PvP combat is limited ot PvP areas- Tombs, Arena, and Guild Battles. There's no way to attack other characters outside those areas that are specifically designed for PvP.

You also won't meet any enemy groups that could annoy you (outside of towns and outposts), every mission and explorable area is instanced.

I have been a mmorpg'er for a long time, I have played from the early days of ultima online and many games since then. In my experience the pvp in guild wars is top notch in the player skill department. When you fight you get it face to face and up front, not surprise attacked while you are farming mobs for gold or items.

This game is all about the skill and knowing how to use your chosen spells.
