Farming for green with henchs
romeo_longsword
I hear sombody say, if you bring hench, they dont drop green, however, a guild mate told me differently.
Also, does the 5ppl farming rule apply to henchs as well?

With hechs greens still drop, but can drop to u or to them, if they drop to them u dont see it.
I used to go farm with 4 hechs and get + or - the same drops that with 4 players.

They still drop greens, but your proportionate chance of seeing one is much less.
In other words, if you go party with four other live players, chances are you'll see one drop, but there's only a 20% chance that it will be assigned to you.
If you go party with four henchmen, you don't "see" their drops, so you'll only see a green drop 20% of the time...and that time it will be assigned to you, just like if you are partying with live players.

What's the 5 people rule?
log1k
tank, healer, bonder, ss, mm.

5ppl, better loot.

Uh, no.
100 drops / 8 people = 12.5 drops/person
100 drops / 5 people = 20 drops/person
That's the only reason people prefer 5 people or less for farming; they can still do the run with only 5 people, but they get more loot. Under 5 or so teams get too slow to be efficient, and over 5 you don't get much loot, or so goes the popular logic.

I got an idea.
Get your henchs, when you see your boss, get all your henchs, so may be if the boss does drop a green, its yours? Or is this just bad karma?

I have tried farming with an all henchie party and got nothing from the bosses..and I mean nothing; no greens, golds, purples, blues, whites, materials or gold and I killed about 8 or 9 of them. Don't waste your time with them. One or maybe 2 henchies is the max I will go with now, its just not worth farming otherwise

Just out of interest, what is the average drop rate of greens you, personally, get when playing in 5-man teams? I'm estimating I get a green every ten bosses I kill (with 4 henches). Usually clearing the floor in GF and the first areas in SF gives me one green - how does that compare to what you, and only you, get in 5-man teams?
Deathqueen
I take the ranger, necro and the two healer henchies and i get a green about every 3rd or 4th trip now. Stupid cynn messes everything up now with her silly aoe, they need to change her to direct damage type skills.
