Hi. I'm so sorry if this is the wrong place to put my question so feel free to remove or move this question. I am sorry too if my grammar & spelling is bad. I am from France (my english is a little bit not that so good). I just want to ask if any of you think that they will remove the 55hp monk build in game?. Well, I know that we don't need all that flashy armors/weapons/etc. but as you go further to the game you get interested to those flashy stuff. I just dont want to invest so much to my monk. ( btw, this question is for GW Factions since they will re-balance some skills.)

While I'm not a fan of the 55 monk build, I hope Anet DOES NOT REMOVE IT.

I'm not a big supporter of "Hey, play my game--but, oh, you can't play it like that, or that way either! No, not that way either!" I'm still bitter about enchantments being nerfed with the introduction of heavy enchantment-removal monsters. Any nerf targetting a 55hp monk build would be far-reaching, çause yóu'd have to weaken so many spells.

They could get rid of the -50 focus item and not touch the skills
but anet has nothing against farming, as long as it's within balance of the game.

But if they think it's out of balance, it gets "tweaked" not nefred.

i agree with studio. i not only have a 55 monk, i have a 55 necro that i love to play and as said above, if someone figured out an ingenious build that is within the parameters of the game (meaning not a bot or something), then why should it be removed?

Well, 55 monks arent the only way of farming, every area has a few different builds for different professions, the 55monk is just popular because its the easiest, can be fast in certain areas and is imporved by DP.

There are w/x builds for nearly all popular mo/w areas, if they got rid of mo/w farming builds then you would just see a migration to w/x and the game is full enough of those already, its also near impossible to nerf warrior farming builds as they all use different skills.

If anet are to limit farming in chapter 2 itll be by stopping animals swarming around, or by making them more intelligent, use of self healing screws mo/w, and having armour ignoring damage takes care of most other builds.

and what exactly would they nerf about protective spirit to not ruin it's function in regular pvp ? do you honestly think anet would make prot spirit less efficient to "nerf" farmers, and with that, give every single spike build out there a serious advantage by ruining the only decent protection against it ?

yea what they were going to do to the 55 build they already did.. meaning nerfing AoE and Agro Mobs and the OLD Protective Bond being -2 (or -1) energy instead of the current -3 ... Whats left to nerf. only the -50 health item... but there is also a -30 health item. same thing... Naw I doubt they will nerf it any further. It is just not needed... Its already been nerfed to death...

I don't use it often anymore, except for occasional runs of the sorrows. with a 5 man bond / 55 tanking team... The old Nerfed Protective Bond actually works again if you do it JUST right... I did it recently just to prove to myself it was possible... thing of beauty that, seeing a 55 monk with 18 enchantments on him... Course as we all know a good mes tears that to shreds... but it was just fun to see done...

Imo the only thing they could do to the 55monk is tweek were u could farm with a 55. as far as nerfing it alltogether what till factions u r going to see tons of nerfs after the first 3 months when ppl start combining there builds with the assasin but till then 55 monk = easy farm

It depends on how you define nerf. The made the new tombs to be as hostile a place for a 55 monk as I could imagine.

This is what I was going to say as you will probably see solo Assassin builds.I don't think this will be history in chapter 2 as would runner and any other solo build.
