Farming in FoW with a good group, I see a Gold Shadow Staff drop for me. I was really happy, but after ID-ing it, I couldn't believe how stupid that staff really was.

To take full advantage of this staff you need to be a Me/N/E ... or a Me/E/N..

or any other similar combo, which of course is impossible. Therefore it is absolutely useless... lol And it does more damage against plants... lol Worthless, but still good for a laugh.

Lol, yeah, I've had the same thing happen to me before as well, but not from FoW but from a chest, a gold staff with 3 different stat uses O_x. What I'd like to know, is if this is really a gag by A.Net or something..I mean..it's a gold staff, and yet..you get things like this? Useless, except of course for selling it to the merchant for its price lol. Whhy? lol

EDIT: Here's that staff of mine btw that is just as whack as yours lol:

I've actually had a gold req 8 Fellblade with Damage +14% vs plants. I'd imagine that's just as useless

Wtf? Pruning is the best mod ever omg, with it you totally pwn at cutting the lawn and making bonsai trees.

No, the OP's staff is bad. Yours ^^ is useful, you just gotta be Me/N or N/Me, or even Me/anything really. The damge isn't really all that important and that's all that will be affected by not having anything in curses. Btw, if you still have it, is it for sale?

It was +3 energy, +3 armor and -5 energy i thought? Either way, it's one of the few items that gives an overall penalty..

Fortunately, Anet makes up for this by giving us awesome mods like Pruning. Have you ever tried killing FoW forest with swords of pruning, it is like BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT all dead!

I don't know but I think the Death Water Magic Plant Farmer build is just a passing fad. Better sell that staff while its still worth something.

But of course, the Mesmer of Ice that kills alot of plants build, will probably stay unless it gets nerfed, so you might want to hang on to that staff.

Pruning is pretty cool actually, just like all other +20% (vs. Blabla). I love dealing +55% damage, doesn't everyone?

omg youre actualyl going to make me find the picture of the old staff i had.

req 13 divine, improved casting on soul reaping skills, improved recharge of fastcasting skills, energy +1, dmg 11% to plants (something liek that, been a long time since i had it. it was posted in the useless weapons thread)

Wow the mods one is funny, I always love getting a gold armor drop and then Iding it to a major hammer mastery or major beast mastery. so I can throw up in my mouth a little.
