since i signed up in in guru i always count on its price list of green items and other stuff,i'm playing on european servers ..and when i shout " WTS the Yakslapper for 16 K (17 K on guru)"..manytimes (these days) ppl start to laugh and tell me "sigh...can't you ppl understand, these prices are american prices european prices are lower than these for about 2-5 K"
i really don't know why they are saying this..are they want to scam and buy these items for low prices or it is really that there is difference in prices between the 2 regions. Is there is much more trading (buying & selling) in american servers more than european (market is more active ?!) that make your prices higher than us ?
i stopped buying and selling green items until i figure out what is wrong with these prices here in europe..so please help me on that
thanx

Interesting, I have an extra account that's relocating to Europe so this info would come in handy. Maybe it's the virtual exchange rate, lol

you want proof ?
i checked guru for gorgnar sword and it's 35 K..i found one selling it for 25 K ..and i bought it quickly thinking of 10 K profit when i sell it(and my eyes turned $$ )..i tried to sell for 35 K but i couldn't...i saw its price going down more for 20 K selling or buying...i was gonna cry for the gold that i lost in this bad deal but i managed at last to sell it for 30 K and i was saying to myself "phew at last i get rid of this cursed sword"..
The Yakslapper:
17k (US)/14-15 K (EU) -you can't even sell it for 15.1K it's standard non negotiable price
wroth's icon :
8K (US)/ 1-3K (or even free they don't take it) (EU)
razorstone :
65K (US)/ 55-60K (EU)
Malinon's skull crusher :
6 K (US)/ they don't take it even if it's for 1 K (EU)
i know these examples are dump items and most of SF green items went down coz of the "New UW " green items but come on guys many EU traders doesn't accept guru price lists and they are breaking the prices everyday.
last week there was maniac selling 50 ectos for 5.4 K this make total chaos for sellers of ectos (he was warping between large cities selling them )..and coz of this amount of ectos for this price sellers and buyers start to lower their prices near to 5.4 K..but it prices corrected itself after 2 days
so please is guru need EU and US seperated price lists or what ?

European players are just less greedy and have more common sense. They'll lower their prices if it's not selling. Europe ftw! Huh? I'm not startin a riot!

Stop relying on the prices stated by Gurus - regardless of whether it's American or European. Prices fluctuate depending on demand. Sometimes you'll get lucky and find a person who's willing to give an arm and a leg for a desperately needed green item... Other times, you'll find a dozen individuals spamming the same item in Ascalon City without a single response.

I've been hitting Grenth's on a regular basis farming for particular items that I know drop regularly in the area and whenever I pick up lower-rated greens, I give them away (e.g. Flint's Artifact, Morgriff's Shadestone, and even Wroth's Holy Rod and Gargash's Stinger...). Occassionally, if I do find a person who wants to buy the items mentioned, I'll normally let it go for between 1-3K.

Considering the current market trend which seems to be in decline, for those of you who hope to make it rich buying and selling greens on the market, I wish you all the best of luck.

Btw, although there is nothing wrong with a person buying an item for 5k and selling it right after for 6 or 7k to another player, I find such actions distasteful. There is really no need for middle-men in Tyria and if you really wish to make a profit on something, go out and farm for it.

Well, I work for them, so let's just say that I can sell them for whatever price I want and make a lot of people (maybe not all) very happy... Even 100-300g if I wanted to...

Like I said, I farm around Grenth's and SF for particular items I know drop regularly there... Not for the greens... It's just a bonus if I get one...

Yeah, EU prices are definitely a lot lower than the ones I see quoted here on GwG. I've made a couple of pricechecks on stuff here on GwG, and _failed to sell them for half that_ on the EU servers.

Examples: Wroths Icon: 3K in the auction here, unsellable in the EU market. Three different green hammers: unsellable at 1K/each. Gorrels Staff: unsellable at 5K (and then I'd rather keep it). Gold max deadly cesta w. +13 energy valued at 30K: unsellable at 15K. Zealous sword hilt: took me an hour to shift it at 500 gold. And the list goes on and on.

Yeah, I admit I could probably not sell water in Sahara, but prices in the EU they still seem to be much lower than in the US. This thread has, however, made me realize that maybe I should try hawking my stuff in the intl district instead of the EU district.
