De-Stacking Dyes

Hiye,
I just bought 5 silver dyes for experimenting, thing is, they're al lstacked up in one slot, I want to move them separte so I can make a S+S+S+Y dye....

any Idea how it could be done..thank you

You can't by yourself, but if you got someone to help you you could trade to them part of the stack of dyes.

If you hadn't bought the dyes already, you could have bought a few dyes, put them in storage, then bought more dyes.

Just mix a silver with a yellow, that'll make a new dye and use the silvers on top of that. You don't need to destack.

hey i have 2 qestions 1# why is black dye most wanted wuts soo good about it and 2! i heard u can mix dyes..if this is true can somone give me a list of mixes such as like......... u mix blue and red gives u purpel and so on thanks!

Blue + Red makes some sort of purple, I guess. Not the Vial of Dye (Purple) one, although.

Black dye is used cuz, well, many people think black is "kool".

Because people like black.. if I could afford it my ranger and necro would be in black.

Black dye is the rarest drop. Coupled with the demand for it, it's naturally the most expensive.

I highly doubt there is a ratio of dye color rarity when dyes do drop.
Example would be Sup Abs Runes they may cost alot but ppl find them quite often, I belive its all random chance.

i found a lot of oranges but never found 1 black dye so i would say they are more rare than other dyes

Well I'v gotton 2 [Black] in the past 3 day's and 2 others that droped not for me... Mino's and tengu have high drop rates for dye... If your not farming solo, it greatly reduces your chance's...

Any mino's My success story is my nec solo'd the lv 10 minos from lv 9 to 14 and got 3 black dyes that day.
my monk however gets the dyes from lv 20's...

i think there is a ratio.

this is based on my own dye drops (your dyes may vary) i have not found (or heard of) one single person who does not consider a black drop to be very to extremely rare.

if they all dropped evenly but randomly someone would be getting more blacks and fewer of other colors.

since this seems to be global instead of hit or miss i think it is scaled.

when you take your stack and mix them it will ask you how many you wish to use at that time and will not use the entire stack of them.

well now... you've heard some of these ppl farming DD chests and finding multiple crystallines...
a few days back my friend also got some black dyes within a day, we get all kinds of colors from the mino's in crystal desert.

anyhow I solely belive that theres a 1 in 8 chance to get a black dye, or any color. same for sup runes just alot less of a chance since theres however many of them.

And if you where in the betas "long sword" looked like a crystalline. all the guards had em in pre... (they stole em all from us)

Ask around and see how many people get black dyes. There is even a thread in the forums about people who never got a black dye.

Black dye drops less frequently than silver, which drops less frequently than all others. Anyone that says differently simply doesn't know the game.

I have collected and stored every dye of mine, and I have roughly 30 of most colors, 20 or so of green, and 15 or so of yellow and silver. I have yet to find a black dye. Although it doesn't really bother me.

I would inquire them(anet) but most likly they wont tell me how the game is made.
c'mon I get silver dyes more often than red dyes... its all random chance.

I know this game enough to tell people otherwise... I want to hear from some older experianced people on this matter; kinda offtopic... If this gets closed i'll make a new thread when I wake up.

to sum up my dyes so far i have gotten a whoping 19 blacks

i honestly dont know the silvers because i sold quite a few but still have over 50

other colors i also sold a bunch just before they reset the prices but i still have about 250-300 (i dont know as they are on mules) left and that is after selling 100 of those awful orange ones

i can only say that i have not heard of ANY and i repeat ANY person getting more blacks than the next color.

if random somebody should get more blacks than the next color but..............nope

a short good luck run doesnt change the long term trend.

Its not even really an argument to be honset...
Black dyes are obviously much more rare than the others when it comes to drops...

If they weren't, people would farm them like crazy, sell them for 5-6 K, and the dye economy would fix itself so that black became cheaper again.

Look at it this way...
YES there are some areas/ways to get Black dyes here and there...

BUT, Over all, in the game, what drops more often? Black dye? Or Red,orage,green,blue, etc...

It's not necessarily a FACT, it's just obviously a LOT more rare to get a black dye, than say a blue one.
