Eater of Souls.. ARGH

I was wondering does anyone else have problems with the quest where you have to kill Eater of Souls. My problem is that I simply can't kill all the scarabs that pour from the ground when I find the spot where the EoS is suppposed to be. Please give me some advices

Take it slow or pull. Go in carefully, let 1 or 2 groups pop up, then fall back. Kill these few, regen energy and life, then go find a few more. If you just run in, too many will spawn, making it very difficult. Good luck

the eos goes underground when you approach. kill all the scarabs and he comes back up. i did it with 60% DP, killing about 2 scarabs each time after i rezzed w/ henches. took awhile but wasnt too hard.

Took me a bit, I also hit 60% DP (except when I was using my Monk). Sometimes I had to do it twice because after I killed everything, the boss wouldn't pop out =\.

You should do what the others have said, take it slow and focus on 1 scarab at a time, you are better off killing one quick then trying to take them all out at once. You might want to consider taking the Mesmer since the degen does help.

Also, a good tip is to clear a path from the rezz shrine to the scarabs so you don't have to worry about dying with 60% to any other monster enroute or have to waste time dodging. Lastly, if you are a Ranger, or have Ranger secondary, the trapping can help a bit, including Healing Springs.

yup, trapped them to death ^_^ solo scarab kill ftw ^_^ (place a silly spirit, put a hell lot of traps in front of it, run in, dodge out, you lose aggro, they find the spirit, run to it and die, repeat)

Or, get your friendly local minion master to help.

I love this mission (and the ranger and mesmer ones) with minions as they become steamrollers of death.

its actually really easy. I did it with a echo/ss necro with a bunch of other skills and henchmen

me,lina,alesia,lil thom, stefan, orion
couple guys died, but lina and alesia kept warriors alive long enough to rez me, and then bam, they all dead
