Ive been around Tyria and I saw ppl selling perfect fellblades for about 80k and some different types of swords for 5k. Is their such a thing as a better sword(no mods)?Aren't all sword the same if they don't have any mods?
If their is such a thing as the best sword can anyone please post it
Best Type Of Sword?

It's because Fellblades "look cool". Aside from the Fiery and Icy Dragon Swords (Can't change the hilt), all swords will end up the same.
It's just a matter of asking yourself "Now what do I want to be swinging with?"
Or maybe that rumour about Fellblades swinging faster than any other sword in the game is still going around.

You ask yourselves two question:
1)What kind of sword do i want to be "severing" or "gashing" with.
2)What kind of mods should i put on it;Mods that will best compliment my build.
For example, im a hammer war. I bought a twin hammer, because it's my fav skin and i've always wanted to have one. The mods i have are furious and fortitude. The furious is a good help for me because most of my builds requires lots of adren, and the +30 hp gives me that like 1-2 seconds of staying alive.

Yeh I was thinking about putting a furious hilt and a pommel of fortitude but what's the highest chance that it would be effective. x% I was also thinking about putting a vampiric which one should I use Vamp or Furious?

Well, Furious is a 10% max chance of gaining double adrenaline on hit, and Vampiric is 3 health steal for -1 health regen (for Swords / Axes).
If you can cancel out the -1 health regen then I guess Vampiric would be good to use.
I personally like using Vampiric Hilt and either a pommel of Defense or Shelter, but that's honestly just me and my weird obsession to try to have a different item than everyone else

lol well thats my main problem with vamp(-1). Since im a w/r I don't have mending to cancel it. Is their a skill for w/r to cancel the -1hp deg or should I just change hilts or class. I dont think theres any point of having a furious since its only 10%

Mending does not counter Vamp. Vamp holds its own so long as you're hitting someone. If you're not hitting someone, use another sword.

yes it does try it sometime I did it with a warmo in random arena using a axe and mending. It put me at 2 health regen instead of the 3 the skill usually gives at 8 healing prayers. as far as it holds its own I tested that on isle of the nameless beating on the target using frenzy and a vamp hilt the 3 gain from the vamp mod just barely covers the amount you have degened hitting it. However yeah its a good idea to just not use a vamp weapon in between fights to avoid the degen while you stand there waiting for recharge ect.

I agree with Savio; Mending does not counter Vamp.
Taking mending is just using another skill. The fact that you "just barely cover the amount you degen" when attacking doesn't matter; you're still dealing an extra 3 damage per hit, every hit. Savio is more than well aware that 3 - 1 = 2. As for swords, people pay more for the look of the skin, or the rarity, or both. It's pretty commonly accepted that Crystaline swords are the best combination of rarity and looks, hence the huge prices. They look like this http://www.guildwarsguru.com/auction/item.php?id=34954 (Yeah ok, shameless auction pug, but it does illustrate a point. :P) Aggie
I disagree. Mending and the other regen, the +2 hp up plus 30 if cancelled one, will negate the natural degeneration in vamp swords. I use a Gold 15-21 of undead slaying vamp sword and keep that +2 hp plus 30 regen on me at all times. No degeneration of health and I still steal +3 each hit. Actual HP gained per around between sword and regen while fighting is 4hp. 3 from hit, 2 from regen - 1 from Vamp. If I really get beat up I switch to bow (alt weapon) and let the +2 hp regen me to full much faster then switch back and on to the next baddies. I rolled through my ascension missions and desert areas, explored all, in about 3 days with the henchies, and 1 group for Thirsty River, with this sword playing a few hours a day. I really like the mating of the Vamp and regen abilities. I am only wearing ring mail for the most part.
