Is there a way around this? Some setting?
Otherwise, this is an annoyance that I hope they fix. It was quite a pain to keep whispering and switching districts and then regrouping each time.
Other minor annoyances:
- When you're grouped, your teammates' names still show up as green text in town. This can make it difficult to find your teammates in a crowd. Would be nice to have team member's names show up as blue or some other color.
- Can't see position of teammates on the large world map. This is annoying since it's difficult to pinpoint where your ally is if they are beyond the visible distance of the minimap.
- No auto targeting when initial target dies. I guess this kinda "noobifies" things, but it's still handy.
- Damage indicator is hard to see somtimes and sometimes it's not visible at all. Damage indicator should be shown in the health bar, it would be easier to see exactly how much damage you're taking.
- No visible indicator of health %. Since some of the skills/items are health % based, it would be nice to have an easy to read indicator of health %. Somthing like 75%+ is dark green bar, 50-75% is light green bar, 25-50% is yellow bar, 1-25% is red bar.
- "Follow" ally command. I dunno, maybe I didn't come across this. But in some situations, for example when you're running around looking for an item, it would be nice to have a "Follow" ally command.
- Would be nice to have a set of "Formation" commands. I found that in many cases, we'd have Rangers and Monks rushing into battle. Yes, they were dumb for doing so, but it would be nice to have a set of formation commands so that someone on the team could initiate a formation and the team members could hit something like Ctrl+Sft+F to enter into their formation positions (i.e. warriors in the front, rangers in the back) and then an "Advance" command to enter battle.
- Command texts should have a seperate window/interface. For example, the targetting command would be more helpful in it's own window.
- No lip movements. I mean, they don't even have to be synched. As far as I'm concerned, they could even be generic lip animations. But it's pathetic without it. I think that if BF1942 can pull it off, GW surely can without significantly impacting performance by simply having a small radius beyond which the poly's and animations for the lips are simply ignored.
- Lack of audio. I know it's still beta, but I hope that they add more audio sequences. For example, when the character "roars" or "cheers", it would be nice.
Overall, a good experience though, but there's still a bit of polishing left to do.
I'm still amazed with the graphic envelope that they've pushed with respect to MMORPG's. The environments are simply stunning and the graphic quality is amazing, even on my dated rig.
