Using Dye on Chaos Axes ..

So I've heard that in order to dye a chaos axe you are supposed to use the opposite color you want on the axe?

Then if I wanted a black chaos axe would I in-turn mix a white dye (3 silver and yellow) and then use that on the axe?

Anyways if anyone has messed with this before or knows anywhere with some picture posts just let me know. Thanks!

that chart isn't entirely accurate. read the note about what "glowing black" is. as far as i know (and those who know me know i love my chaos axes), it isn't possible to get a black chaos.

i would suggest doing some searching around. i know that there's another picture somewhere showing different color combinations on chaos axes. it's very helpful if you want to start mixing dyes.

At the risk of sounding like a n00b: You can dye any weapon? Or just the chaos axe?

You can dye most weapons,yet some won't take dye and some take the dye but do not change in appearance. You can't dye any eternal weapons or green text weapons.
