number of characters - 4..

I know this isn't a MMORPG, but I'm used to 8 per server
I know this isn't diablo2, but we had a lot there, per realm as well

GuildWar doesnt have multiple servers (we can all get to eachother - cool)
GuildWar ONLY has 4 characters, AND that's across roleplay and pvp..!



It's sinking in now that I'm hoping there are definite plans to expand?
Either streaming or first expansion?

Just unlocks alone would be 3 characters if you chose combos managing to spread across 6 classes with all those 3, leaving -one- either for formulating/playing your final ideal character *or* -one- pvp character.

As it is I like toying/experimenting here..
at least 4 rpg, 4 pvp would have been much better..!

and even there I'd want to try more combos, maybe all the primaries..
guess you can delete as you dont like but still..

any word on a change down the road?

I do not know of any changes that are planned, but im sure everyone would welcome more character slots. Most games end up giving in after a while. Most likely they are just waiting to make sure the game is stable as is, once they are comfortable with that I hope they add more slots.

I say you will see an expansion in character slots in the first expansion.

I'm not against expanding the characters needed. However, you should be able to unlock all the skills with a maximum of 2 characters.

There are quests late in the game to change your secondary, allowing you to unlock all the skills from an additional profession.

So, 2 roll, 2 pvp which can change at any time to whatever you want, and back to what they were.

Can you get skills for the primary only attribute lines if you aren't primary? ex: can a x/W get skills for the strength line? If not, you won't be able to unlock every skill with two characters.

True.. if your out for the unlock and PVP aspect of the game. I enjoy the actual RP of the game. Each character I make has her own back story, her own personality. Personally. I would be happy with just one more slot - because there are different builds I enjoy and like to play. I dont want to have to delete, remake, switch secondaries aroudn to do so, and still, after I get to that point I do want at least one PVP char.

I thought 4 was an odd number as well, I understood it for beta. But - when it release I was thinking at least 5 if not 8. Of course, I have no problem at all spending the 40ish on another key to get 8 characters. No problem. I just wish there was a way to merge them onto a single account Such as "unlocking 4 more slots".

However, I think it would be nice to see more slots added with expansions. I think that would be a selling point for them to get people to buy it. Getting an expansion gives you all the new stuff when you enter the key into your account, and unlock 2, 3 or 4 more character slots.
