and we all got a complimentary bumper sticker that said, "I helped skin Bob."

I've done some highlevel searching on keywords, and I've not yet seen the following suggestion:

Allow for quick swapping of characters without having to log in again. I'm surprised how often I swap between my four characters, and having to log in each time creates just enough of a delay that it's becoming noticeable.

This isn't a high priority issue, just something I thought could make the game more streamlined. Otherwise, I'm having a blast and thanks for the wonderful new world.

I concur, this is a very minor issue, but it would add to the polished feel of the game if I didn't have to log out every time I switched characters.

I wouldn't mind this either, but I get the feeling ANet has a reason for doing it this way.

ah. people who think like me. Minor is an understatement if you ask me. Yes it doesnt harm the greatness of the game by much, but it is so obvious that it should have been added when they created the game. Would save hours in the long run. depending how much you play and change characters

I launch it with a shortcut with the /password xxx command line in it, so I'm not really annoyed by that..
But it should be a pain if you don't know this trick

So you're basically serving up your IP to let ppl know you use this "trick"?

It has been suggested before, and I believe the solution was to add the -password switch. Then when you log out, you are already logged in.

I use the program switch too, works perfectly and since I use the same password for everything I do (not the least bit worried) I will never forget it.

-password xxxxxxx (for password
-perf (Performance meters

couple switches I know. Just for fun.

1. Post in sardelac next time (nvm. my bad. I need sleep)

2. there are many many many many threads about this issue

3. Anet have stated... somewhere... that there are security issues with implementing this idea. Which is why comments like these:

is there real game design issues that make this a security problem, or was it just to warn us to not use the /password thing if we'r playing on a shared computer?
