Icy Dragon Sword

hi i was wonderin where can you find a Icy Dragon Sword coz im a w/mo and i have a 2 firey dragon swords and someone said i can use a icy sword hilt on FDS to make a IDS is that true if not can someone plz tell me how to get a IDS?

Ice imps drop them in Mineral Springs near a cave I believe. But this thread will probably be closed because a moderater will come on and simply type.... SEARCH. How helpful that is, Im not sure. I thought when you try to change hilts on a FDS it says you cant. I could be wrong. If that was the case though, why make an IDS?

You cannot change fire damage mod from FDS nor cold damage mod from IDS. They have fixed sword hilt which can't be changed.

The hilt on the FDS and IDS cannot be changed. However, they can be salvaged to a fire/cold damage hilt for another sword.

The IDS are drops from ice imps that spawns inside a cave in the north east of Mineral Springs. Other than fighting/solo-ing through the hordes of summit drawves (in Tasca's Demise), Avicara, Pinesouls, Azure Shadow, Siege Golems, Ice Imps, etc. you could buy one from another player. There's quite alot been in sold in main towns.

I think you guys are wrong.. Because I've had a Firey Dragon Sword with slashing damage.

Edit: Although that was about 4 months ago, maybe a patch changed it.

I'm pretty sure you can add an icy hilt to a firey dragon sword, but it will only make it do cold damage. This won't make the sword turn blue, even if you try to dye it. Also IDS tend to have a +15%^50 mod on them everytime, whereas FDS sometimes aren't even max dmg. I'm not sure if hilts can be added to IDS tho, I've never tried...

You can not add Icy hilt to FDS or Fiery hilt to IDS (I have tryed both).

IDS or Icey Dragon Swords, ONLY and i mean ONLY drop in the Mineral Springs cave with the ice imps. May get the search button command. But only if looking for a solo build to do it.

whoa, this is new to me: I thought IDS never dropped after the Holiday special.

They still drop in Mineral Springs. But not too many people farm them anymore because of huge price drop. At Christmas, it was selling for 100k. Now it's selling for less than 20k.

You can not add a hilt to either the fiery dragon or icy dragon sword.

I seen people offer 200k for them when they very first came out :P

No hilt of any kind can be added to an FDS or IDS. It would be nice for a sundering hilt or soemthing but nope, not gana happen.

will anybody trade one for a green BLUDGEOUNER and a load of runes and 2 christmas items??
