There was once a woman who.....

There was once a woman, who watch me go to school,
I wouldn't even give her a kiss, i always kept my cool.
"Hey mama's boy?? You wanna give me a kiss?"
My friends always laughed me, I acted like a fool.

There was once a woman, who watched my first walk,
I told her i loved her, she heard my first talk.
Her love for me is very very deep.
At night she stayed up, rocking me to sleep.

One day, she decided to leave me and daddy behind,
I was crying, crying alone like the pitch black sky.
I've lost something important, nothing for me to find.
"Daddy, is mommy coming home?" with wet watery eye.

Now that i grew up, i held up strong and brave
Nine eleven took my daddy, i always visited his grave.
I do not beg for stuff, nor do i ever crave
I'm like my daddy, I'm strong and brave.

Dear woman, how are you today?
You left without saying good bye, You took off right away.
Dear woman, i forgot your birthday was on May.
Now that you're gone, there isn't much to say.

I wrote her this letter, during the school day.
This was the last letter she read, before she died on May.
