Server Downage?

How can i tell when servers are down for maint / crashed / or whatever.

Im having issues logging into the game world right now, and i think it might be because im kinda new, may not know about any "regular" maint or whatever.

the GW site has an announcement on the network thread when main. is due.

just checked and nothing is scheduled and the servers are up

Hrm, it's still doing it. ArenaNet has no updates for GW, nor any updates availiable when i log into either my Mo/ME or my W/El, i haven't tried my others, but basically, its displaying the loading screen, connects, has no files to update and then just exits cleanly to the desktop.

Sounds like a corrupted file. Time to uninstall and reinstall.

I was aboutto say the same thing uninstall and reinstall i'm betting will fix your problem

dunno bout yours but my copy of Guild Wars has a "repair Installation" feature so I have no need to uninstall/re-install.
Using this fixes any inherent problems all I then need to do is download any updates since last fix.
