I was wondering if I can report an attempted scam. Person offered me 55 instead of 55k. I did not accept and quickly took a screen shot. So I didn't actually get scammed but can I still report the person?

I'd report the person and let ANet deal with it. Chances are they won't get suspended for what they did.. but they will get a black mark against their name - so if they keep getting reported for it, chances are ANet will do something.

Could you provide a link or somewhere I can report them? I don't know where the ArenaNet support site is

Belive me I reported one guy, from harrassment/attempting to scam/ and saying he worked for A.net. About 4 reports, I belive A.net really doesnt care, and I included screenshots.

Anet doesn't tell you what (if any) action is taken, and I think a lot depends on circumstance, repeat offenders, etc.

Things to consider in OP's case: Was it an attempted scam, or an honest mistake of entering "55" in the wrong place?

If its only one person reporting on another they might take it with a pinch of salt. You could say just report someone you dont like to try and get them booted so screen shots are the way to go and perhaps find someone else who has been scammed by them! I once accidentaly put an offer in gold rather than platinum as I was doing something else as well. I hope they didnt think I was scammer as they just ran off. Id hate to think my account could have been suspended for a mistake

People do make mistakes. But scammers will try the above trick frequently. One trick is offering the correct amount, cancelling the transaction "by mistake" and offering gold instead of plat when they reopen. That is an obvious scam and should be reported. However, as Tufty said, I think Anet will need more than one example. It could really be an honest mistake.

Just Double check Every transaction u do, there is more than one scammer out there, as for Anet dealing with scammers who knows.

There are also people who make honest mistakes. As in real life. Always count your change.
