can I buy bow strings and grips anywhere?

I am currently at the tombs arena area. Is there someplace I can buy these upgrades? If not, does anyone know where to find them exactly?

Upgrades cannot be purchased from an NPC. They are only available by expert salvage from a drop, or by purchasing one from another player.

There is an auction house. Look further down the forum list and find Ventari's Sell.

Yup you can buy them from another player here in the forums or just watch the trade chat in game. I see a lot of people selling Runes/Upgrades these days.
