Unassign Unwanted Drops

It would be nice if there was a way to designate any unwanted items that drop for you as available to anyone in the rest of your party.

If you are too lazy, low on inventory space or whatever and don't want to pick up all the drops that get assigned to you; you could just hold the Right Alt key (for example) and click on the drop to unassign your name from it so anyone can go redeem it.

Any thoughts?

Not a bad idea.
But before that I hope they make a "pickup all my items only" hotkey.

there already is a function to undesignate unwanted items:
pick up + drop.

Personally I'm one of the people who stand next to someone and wait for them to drop it, then I pick it up and salvage it like a madman.
