When I realized the guard at the mouth of the opening to the Catacombs above the Barradin Estate was a comedian, I nearly fell out of my chair. Next time you go there, try to talk to him, it's worth it.

That's actually an old Blizzard trick, for all you early-day Warcrafters. ^_^ Back in the days of Warcraft, units would have standard sounds up to the first four times you clicked them, grettings such as "Hello, Yes Lord, etc."; afterwards, they would play their "pissed" sounds, such as "This is the reason I ended it all!" and similar funnies. Some of them were pretty good, if you kept on clicking the elven ships you'd hear the sailors puke. Fun stuff.

Anyway, since GW is really part of Blizzard, what I view as the best of it, they incorperated this same comical style into GW... except now its with words rather than sounds. Some funny stuff. ^_^

I'm willing to bet Blizzard didn't come up with the idea.

Baldur's Gate (A non-blizzard game, you might note) had a similar idea; Clicking party members or cerain NPCs over and over caused them to complain, make jokes, and just generally be hilarious

As long as nobody claims they came up with it, it doesn't matter. it's funny all the same
