I pretty sure I will have to restore to a known good gw.dat or reinstall GW from scratch to fix this but wonder if other people have come across this problem.
This never happened before until I was zoning to a town and it had an update and during the update my dsl modem rebooted it self.
When ever gw has to push a large number of updates / decompression, GW goes to 99% cpu and I can hear the hard drive crunching away and the system is on the verge of locking up (have to hit the power button) ctrl + alt + del to bring up the task manger *may* work.
I forgot about it (all the updates I've had were small and not really affecting me) until I entered FOW for the 1st time in months (off a clean install of the client to boot). It warped me in to FOW after the ghost was dead (and I was not kicked) and the party was gone (not even in the party list) after nearly crashing my pc.
Will be loading an older gw.dat file that was clean and good (pre pvp weekend) and seeing if this fix's the problem but want to see if anyone else had this problem or have other idea's what's happening.
