Howdy,

Just wanted to post the current build I'm using in the 4v4. It was inspired by something similar I saw on these forums, except with small changes.

Being that I'm new to ranger and inexperienced with elementalist, suggests are readily and hopefully excepted. I had a trial run with this earlier today, and it was absolutely fantastic. Squishes were taking upwards of 50-100 points of damage, and.. I can't quite remember what tanks were taking, but I remember squeeling with delight as I hit around 50 against a warrior.

Fire Magic: 9
Expertise: 12
Wilderness: 9
Marksmanship: 10

1. Dual Shot

2. Barbed Trap

3. Melandru's Arrows

4. Serpent's Quickness

5. Mark of Rodgort

6. Glyph of Lesser Energy

7. Conjure Flame

8. Res Signet

Basically, I throw up the 'Conjure Flame' while wielding a fire-stringed bow, find the soft target, normally enchanted, use melandru's arrow, use the glyph, drop mark on them, and then dual shot them as the opening shot.

A dual-shotted conjure flame + melandru is tasty. :d On top of that, the resulting bleeding + fire is a nice degen.

Barbed Trap is there because either (1) we'll have a monk in the party and the barbed trap is useful for when he's being chased. I simply announce I'm using it, the monk runs over, and everyone's happy--or (2) someone will wise up as to how much damage is being pumped out from the ranger and run over to me where the barbed trap will drop them and I can run away.

The serpent's quickness is there simply for a faster recharge time for both dual shot and barbed trap.

Right now, I -think- I could drop expertise to say, ten and move those points either into Wilderness Survival (for the longer-lasting SQ as well as higher damage) or into Fire Magic.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

.. huh. Big O is on.

What a weird anime, though very exciting.
